TYLER'S JOURNEY # 20

Thanks for your concern but no worries. We cancelled curling this morning and then the curling club advised us the club was closed anyway so I am warm and comfy in my house with my furbabies and not planning any outdoor activities!
@MrWorfMen's Mom that's good I hate the winter!!!
SUNDAY 12-1-19
PMPS - 145 shooting 0.75 skinny
I can't believe it's Dec already. I can't believe we will be saying 2020. Time is going by too fast @MrWorfMen's Mom

Good morning , Diane :bighug: Popping by to check in before “ kids” get up . Son leaves today, SIL tomorrow and Jenna next weekend . She won’t be around here tho as she has a photo project she’s working on down in nearby Branson . Stays down there instead of driving back and forth ( 45 minutes away). Now to dig my Christmas tree out while I have 3 strong guys to lug it up the stairs :) Sending hugs and prayers for a marvelous Monday :bighug: And Auntie Linda, will be looking for my shipment of fresh Canadian snow any day now

Good morning Beth, do your kitties bother the tree at all. We have freezing rain and snow here right now. Supposed to turn to all snow later this afternoon, they say
1-3 inches I hope they are right and won't get anymore than that. Hugs

Just heading out to put your shipment of snow together Beth! We've got about 4 inches so far from what I can tell from inside. It's still snowing lightly. What worries me is what is underneath the snow. We had freezing rain and ice pellets earlier yesterday and then the snow so this could be an interesting clean up. Hopefully we'll deplete the snow supply in the clouds and you won't get too much of it Diane!

At least the freezing stuff was short lived unlike Dec13 when trees got uprooted from the weight of the ice and power was out for over 2 weeks for some folks. We had a live wire running between 2 street lights, come down onto our side lawn. The city lost a significant portion of the tree canopy and it took months before the mess was completely cleaned up.

Don't get me started on cats in trees. Miss Menace has taken to trying to get into my small year round tree downstairs yet again. These pics are from her antics years ago but the last few days have been an instant replay. :arghh:

You must be pooped between Thanksgiving company and taking care of Elmo. I don't know how you do it, you are such an amazing mom to Elmo

Awww, Diane , coming from you , a real life Wonder Woman , is a huge compliment ❤️ We are just use to simple food and quiet life and while we love family it wears me the heck out to talk/listen this much and eat this much . Think I may go on a fast here when Jenna leaves to give my body a rest . I am exhausted but you know all ab exhaustion ❤️

Thanks Beth but I am no I real life Wonder Woman, but thank you anyway. I'm sure any one in my position with Ashley would do the same. Both Tyler and Perry are sound asleep, so later on around 2-4 am they both start breaking my chops looking for food.
It's unbelievable, , they really get on my nerves some times lol. Tyler is over weight and trying to get him to at least down to 16 pounds, he weighs 20 pounds. Before being diagnosed he was 23 lbs , then went flown to 15 lbs when diagnosed.
He is a big cat but still he weighs a ton. He only eats about a can and a half of Fancy Feast Pate either chicken or beef. Then I still give him the dry Dr Elsey chicken which is only 4 carbs. I only give him 1/4 of a cup and not even that.
If he has the FF Pate Chicken that's 147 calories for a can and a half and if he even eats all of the Dr Esley dry which he doesn't that would be 136 calories for the dry, so a total of 283 calories a day

If I give the FF Beef it would be 138 calories for that and 136 calories for the dry
So a total of 274 calories a day.

He is just a lazy cat, my vet said he just isn't burning calories because he's a lump on a log. I try to play with him and make him run a little. He does have neuropathy in the back legs but it has improved so much with the Zobaline . He can now jump on the bed and couch and on to the kitchen table , first jumping on the chair first.
He should weigh less than 16 lbs but my vet said let's cat least try to get him down to 16 lbs.
Perry is the active one always has been. He is smaller than Tyler and weighs 14 lbs, vet said he should lose a few also.

I am just going to have to put my foot down when it comes to Tyler, no more dry food at 2 am. This has to stostop lol

I think my word for this would be a little stronger than "sucks" but I'll let you use your imagination.

I heard the weather guy saying they got just over 3 inches of snow at the airport. I'm about 10 minutes drive to the airport and there was far more than 3 inches here. I don't know how they measure but I think they are full of u know what! I had a good 5 maybe 6 inches. Easy to see how deep when cleaning off the car.

I got my car cleaned off and that was a job and half....twice as hard as cleaning the porch, walkway and the double driveway. I've got an SUV and cleaning off the top is shall we say a bit of a workout. Thankfully the doors weren't frozen shut. This morning I'll have to go out and clean up the bottom of my driveway between the sidewalk and the road. The sidewalk and road plows both left windrows that I'll have to manually shovel before I can clean up the rest with the snow blower. Oh joy Oh bliss! Just couldn't deal with anymore yesterday and left that part for today. It's supposed to be a bit warmer today so hopefully it hasn't frozen into solid ice blocks.

Good morning Diane ❤️ Won't go into the whole " I love snow" song and dance ...you guys already think I'm crazy in that department o_O But I do !!!!:woot: Sending hugs and prayers , that your day is cozy and warm :bighug:

@MrWorfMen's Mom oh I will use my imagination , but you really don't want to hear the words that would come out of my mouth lol. I feel so bad for you that you have to do all that shoveling, I really do my friend. Its warmer here today and the sun is out. I don't want to hear about any more snow storms at all. The words that come out of my mouth when I listen to the forecasts are not lady like lol I am rough around the edges for sure. Will check in later, take it easy with the shoveling OK @MrWorfMen's Mom

@Beth 73 I think I would like the snow if I lived in a little cottage out in now where, no body around with snow blowers, no noise at all for Ashley. Some thing like in a Thomas Kinkade painting. Have a nice day and I hope Elmo behaves

That dream cottage is beautiful but I've thought about that dream world Diane and in winter particularly it comes with a whole different set of drawbacks. No perfect world out there but my dream would be a desert island in the Caribbean living off the land/sea. Close enough to civilization that a little boat with a little outboard motor will get you there but far enough off the grid and small enough, that no one else is interested in it and leaves you alone. No seasonal weather worries other than occasional hurricanes but hurricanes very rarely hit around Barbados/Tobago! That said, there is rising sea levels to consider. :bookworm: More research needed. ;)
I'm done FINALLY! Until next time.......

@MrWorfMen's Mom now that I think of it, what was I thinking the cold is no good for Ashley, so I'm with you, I am a pretty good fisherman, I would go all the time with my husband, trout fishing, down the shore on the boats for flounder and fluke, I also love crabbing

Good morning, Diane , Ashley, Tyler and Perry ❤️ Hugs and prayers sent from the Ozarks to you for a special Wednesday :bighug:

I'm looking.....believe me .......I'm looking! Desert islands aren't as easy to come by as we'd like.

I'm done with snow for the moment and it's supposed to warm up here over the coming weekend so that should clear what's left of the white crap. Cleaning off and shoveling out cars is no easy feat. Saves a trip to the gym if one is so motivated! :woot:
