? Increase? Mimi PMPS 197 +1 255 +2 224, +4 248 +6 234

Kind of high(ish). Should I increase dose if it doesn’t lower during the day or hold it?
Hi Rosa
Yes. I think you can go back up to 1 unit.
Are you using the calipers?
As the dose for 0.75 units, on the syringe, did not marry up with the calipers, you will need to make sure that when you do increase, it is only by 0.25 units on the calipers. Does that make sense?

I’d see where her PMPS is. The pink could be a high before a break. You might want to wait until tomorrow morning to increase the dose just in case she decides to clear a bounce tonight. I usually always increased on a.m. cycles instead of p.m. ones. up to you :)

The calipers have been measuring up to the syringe so far every time I use them to double check what I pull.
This is a different question but do you think some syringe brands work better than others at pulling up less bubbles? I pull and I push back several times to make sure there aren’t bubbles because those are pockets of air that take up space right, so that could mean an incorrect dose? I always see some micro bubbles but those seem to never go away- they are super tiny and they linger around no matter what

well tomorrow morning I have work so if for some reason she decided to dip from the new dose I can’t be around for her for at least 6 hours. And usually an increase in dose doesn’t usually have an effect for a cycle or two right? Was I reading isn’t it that phenomenon where an increase always causes an increase in numbers the first cycle?

Meaning if I increase it in the AM she’s not likely to dip too low the very first cycle - it would probably take the next to see?

Depends on the cat and what else is going on. Sometimes Gracie has a very active first cycle of an increase, sometimes not.

If you want to increase tonight, just be sure she doesn’t look like she’s starting to clear a bounce (e.g. BG has dropped significantly from +10).

Do bounces hurt them over time? Like every time they are in a bounce is it putting stress on their pancreas that can’t be fixed later? For instance I heard one time for myself (I have asthma) that every time I have an asthma attack it bruises my lungs and to prevent them in the first place could mean healthier lungs overall. Does that make sense?

- just my brain going into thoughts upon thoughts

Whoa there girl!!! No, bounces don’t put stress on the pancreas that prevent it from recovering. Prolonged hyperglycemia does due to glucose toxicity.

Approaching PMPS. Should I increase or wait?
+11 was 311. She’s been kind of lazy today- wonder if it’s just because I’m being that way or her higher BG is making her feel crappies

+1 255
Ate the feathers off of her toy. Hasn’t ever eaten the ones off of the feline flier toy- has eaten ones that are very fluffy but not the harder real ones.

I saw she was playing with it but just looked at she ate the two feathers.

Now she’s deep into a dream- she’s twitching. Got to wake her up for her +2. Poor baby... I hope she doesn’t start to associate me picking her up with me poking her.
