24/11/19 Fifi not dropping below mid 300 should I increase dose

Fifi is sitting above 300. On one drop. Since visiting vets Thursday with no uti or any signs of anything. Vet sent her home after fluids. She has been on the higher side ever since and still not got a great appetite. Eating smaller amounts and stools are soft. They are normally always firm. Not sure if she needs an increase or stick with drop watch and see.

I would increase the dose back to 0.1u.

I can't tell from Fifi's SS why you dropped the dose from 1.0u to a drop. I'd bring it back up and if the numbers don't improve in 3 days/6 cycles increase to 0.25u.

FYI, with switching to TR on 11/19, you should have evaluated the dose for 3 days/6 cycles. Since nadirs were not in normal numbers, that's when you should have increased the dose. Remember, with TR, doses are evaluated more quickly than with SLGS. It takes a bit of getting used to when you switch dosing methods.

I switched upon recommendation but at the same time Fifi went to vets after not eating. she then skipped a dose due to that and from then has been in the higher side. Still not a great appetite with loose stools.
Finding it all very hard and confusing

You might want to add a probiotic to help with the stools. S. boulardii is very good for diarrhea or anything in that department. I've ordered it from ReNew Life off of Amazon.

To be honest, it may be she has something brewing. The shift in her numbers looks like she's not getting enough insulin or there's some sort of infection/inflammaiton going on.

what I had thought. vet ran some tests and said no sign of infection. all good. but she has had the soft poop since. eating but not what she would normally eat.

The problem with tests is that sometimes the test is run before a threshold for a concern is reached. The test is premature. If you don't see a change, I'd talk to your vet. The probiotic may help, though.

yes, thank you for your suggestion. I'll see if I can get the probiotic in Australia. I get the impression (although not directly saying) my vet is a little unhappy with the dosing and treatment I'm doing with Fifi. I'm sure he would have rather seen her stay on set dosing and the same food - even though that made no real change and kept the dosing high. It just is all a lot at times when I have other major issues going on in my home with humans and cancer etc.
