Moey is looking almost text book with his cycles. I think I've figured out the slightly rising #'s later in the cycle and the drops early in the cycle. Marje mentioned absorption rates can vary. Well it makes total sense that the duration of the insulin is directly related to the location of the injection. So, I've started noting injection site locations on my SS to try and confirm this theory. Seems spot on so far. But, I'm prepared to be wrong...as usual LOL!!!!! :rolleyes:

Briere - I'm so happy about Moey's numbers. When I first started injecting Tina, I used the scruff. A couple months later, I started using the sides, believing that would be a better place for consistent absorption, and possibly less scar tissue buildup. I never could pin down a difference in duration though. I do rotate sites and change sides every injection. Funny - I shoot left side AM and right side PM.
I like your experiments - and you very well may find your theory correct;)

Great start, very flat at the beginning of the cycle, I wonder if he has onset yet? It's looking like an interesting cycle this morning.
 
OT but, scary info. Hopefully this link will work. Be careful of the food/water bowls you purchase for your sweet ones.

I'm thinking he's having a later onset today?!? It' weird because when Moey gets his food bump it's usually at +1 or +2. Well I'm seeing the bump at +3...strange. Nothing's different with his feeding schedule or food besides he consumed a little more than his 1/4 can between 10:20am and 11am.

When does he usually get fed? On ss says 4x day, but not when.

Try not to worry too much about it, sometimes their BG just does something odd, perhaps it will become clearer as the cycle goes on. I would have thought he would have onset by now, he's still pretty flat.

I feed him after testing around 10:20am. Then he gets fed 1:30pm, 4:30pm and 7:30pm prior to pulling food. If he didn't finish his 7:30pm feeding, he gets that after PMPS testing, around 10:20pm. He gets to free feed overnight on a 1/2 can, which he rarely finishes. Ideally this is his schedule but, sometimes he doesn't finish his 1/4 can and I end up adding the leftovers to his next meal, equaling the 1/4 can he's supposed to be eating. Hope that made sense, 'cause proof reading, it's a lil confusingo_O
