We have a thing around here called the "dosecrease threat"-- just saying in a condo that you are going to increase the dose, let alone doing it, causes the cat to have lower numbers. Looks like Salem's been reading your condo!

Good luck today! Let's see how he does with a little more juice.

Tina -

I have no idea what you've done to your spreadsheet. I'm getting an error message that indicates the sheet is too large for my browser window. Since I can't resize my browser window which the error message suggests is one solution, the other solution is to unfreeze the panes that you've frozen.

@Marje and Gracie may be able to help.

Correct ?

How late were you? There's some wiggle room in the shot time, a half hour is no problem at all, even an single hour late shot isn't going to be too bad (though there I'd watch what he did today before deciding how to move back).

Two hours or more, I'd be a bit more systematic about moving it back in stages. We usually suggest 30mins per day, but with this kind of situation, a one-off at a different time, I think you could go a bit faster.

I'm having the same problem as Sienne with your spreadsheet, by the way. Could you put your AMPS back in the title? Before you edited your post, it was 171 [edited to add: and you said you had increased the dose to 1U]. Also, just as an aside, it's confusing if you edit posts themselves after people have replied [ETA: like I did above, or I'm doing here!], and don't note the additions you made :).

One hour .

OK, reading yesterday's condo and your first post (before editing) today, I thought you'd waited to increase to 1U this morning, but the spreadsheet has 1U at the PM shot last night, too. Is that correct, or did you shoot 0.75U last night?

I get up early every morning like clock work but since salems on insulin im so tired im trying to work on a new schedule. I could have shot my self getting up late .

I shot 1 unit at the PMPS last night was the first time i increased . Watched him all night thats why im so tired this morning lol

You have to take care of yourself, too! And in terms of taking care of Salem, you may have shot a little late this morning, but you also got some great overnight data last night! Not that you want to be doing that every night, like I said, you have to take care of yourself so you can take care of Salem.

Just check him again one hour into it since i was late and the increase plus he ate and did not get the two he wait before T/F/S i did have him wait though before shooting but he did not get the two hour wait . it is +1=171 (edited) my husband made the comment to me no wonder his little ears is sore you got to check again ! Lol

OK, so the 171 was probably a little food bump, but he's overall pretty flat from the +11 until now (3hrs later if I've got the sequence right with the delayed shot). If I've got this right, it's something like:

+11 (6am): 148
(food)
AMPS (1hr delayed) (8am): 171
+1 (9am): 148

You'll probably want to put a little note in your spreadsheet about the delayed shot and possible food influence for the AMPS-- that way, when you look back, you'll know where the numbes are coming from.

Embarrassing thing is i took a class for excel i know this is google but works the same but the problem is i never got a chance to use what i learned its been 7 yrs since i took that class . I will remember in time i still have my books with my cheat sheets ! Please be patient with me . I will get it right sooner or later . Thanks ladies !

Thanks so much my house isnt getting clean like it needs lol but Salem comes first . The Lords going to get me too this is 2 Sundays i missed church too ! (Edited) but he knows i love him and im caring for sweet Salem.

The SS is fine now.

Are you testing, waiting 2 hours and then feeding? You said in post #12:

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. The lack of punctuation and capitalization makes understanding what you're trying to convey tricky. Is T/G/S supposed to mean T/F/S -- test/feed/shoot?

:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:❤️To you, Tina ....take good care of yourself ❤️

Your kitty looks like my daughters baby Sabrina ! She just showed up in the yard at my in laws one day we didnt have any cats then but my mother in law cried to her son my husband Tony please let the grandchildren have her or she will end up in the pound . Dnt let that happen to this sweet kitty so he let them bring her home and when we first bought our new home he said no animals in the house that didnt last long he was worried she get hurt or lost . I was a dog person growing up i tried cats before but always had to return them the owners gave them to me too young only 5 weeks they cried all night for mama ! I love cats so much now !

Just so I'm clear... You get your pre-shot test, feed immediately, and shoot while Salem's eating or immediately thereafter?

Just an observation based on your SS. When you see a flat series of numbers during the PM cycle, you do not need to keep testing all night long. Look at my SS or Marje's or Nan's. There were some nights when I was up testing and others when I knew Gabby was safe and I went to sleep.

I get up test the first hour in the pmps at +9 sometimes i dnt test if hes numbers are ok during the night then i fed him @ +10 , wait two hours , at AMPS then i T/F/S yes i Test in the amps Feed him and Shot while he is eating . Yes i am trying to give him a break but when hes numbers are confusing i test more often i do not want to do anything wrong i guess i am just a nervous Mommie when i feel better with all this i will not test as much . :(

Amps 171 @+1 tested at +2 =148 tested @ +3=64 feeding high Carb food gravy first now. Then solid chunks from canned food so as not to fill him up so fast so he continues to eat if i need. Give honey as needed .

Im figuring Salem out ! this time i just gave him a little instead of panicking and filling him up with too much , his sugar takes a little while to go up after the honey and High carb food . I do not want to not only fed him too much but i do not want to bring those numbers up too high I like seeing the green numbers but they also worry me when it get too close to the warning number ! 50 ! Especially if i am not able to keep a close eye on him like when i go to sleep . it worries me what may happen when im not watching .

Since i was late this morning +1 . Should i give to him at +11.5 instead of at 7:00 his Amps ? He is at 422 now will that be like increasing ? Since i was late that was like i decreased it right ?

You gave him his shot today an hour late, correct? If that's the case you will not want to give him his shot this evening until 7:45 - if you're trying to get back to your 7 a.m. shot time - you'll need to back up in 15 minute increments at each shot time.

;)

Yes i was late one hour . Got you ! Thanks ! (Edited) you have a nice evening too ! Ttyl !

It might make it easier if you add a column in your SS for the time of day that you shoot; so there's a new column in addition to the AM and PM pre-shot numbers (see my SS for an example)...I put the time of day in when I shoot - because every now and then we get off schedule...and I have to write everything down..otherwise I'd be lost...

Wow i like how you do your sheet . So we can add or what ever we need to make it our own? That is a good thing !

Yes, you can customize it to make it your own...lots of people put info on the top in a box - I really like that - about food, insulin, etc. and I like the additional columns for the time of day - we have enough on our plates getting all this done - much less trying to remember what time the shot was, etc. I have columns for naidrs on the far right side so I could try to see when Luci hits her nadir every day...and of course notes in the columns on the far far right are kind of standard - it's really helpful to note things there about food and schedule conflicts, etc (like if you're sick or have work issues, etc)...then people won't have to keep asking the same questions over and over...

Also, you can add tabs of new pages for other info, labs, etc. I've added a couple - you can see the labels at the bottom if you look to the right and click there to see info about links, food counts and other stuff I like to keep handy as reference.

As long as you don't change the colors - those are set as a standard for everyone so we all know what the numbers mean when you add one, some of that kind of thing, not for changing...

wow thats great to know . Yes i noticed your links and other sheets . This is great . Thanks so much !

:bighug::bighug:Ok we are coming down some before his pmps shot 383 . Sorry about my mess on my spread sheet today lol it was all mess up this morning all i can think is something changed when salem tossed my phone around or i touched it and messed it up . Sienne helped get Marje fix it for me today . Hopefully the more i work on it i can start remembering what i learned in school on spread sheets . It was only a week class but it helped me but it has been like 7 years since i learned and i never got to use it working on a SS. The more i work on something the better i get . Thanks for all your help and advice . I do not know what kind of mess i would have if it wasnt for all of you helping me ! Good Night !

Thank you Marje helped me fix these mistakes . I feel so stupid i took a class only for one week but i forget how to do them i never got a chance to use them in a spread sheet . Hopefully i will remember them soon . I bought lots of books in excel when i took that class . It has lots if things people do not realise excel can do its hidden in the ribbon . We just have to check them off . It even talks . I know its no excel this is google but it works the same way in lots of ways . Thank you ! Have a Good Week !

Well Salems numbers are high again in his pmps after hes Amps was so good . Maybe tomorrow he will do better all day and night wonder if im stressing him lol ? But hes ears seem better ? He seems relaxed ? Hes tired tonight though i guess High sugar makes you tired ? I think when he went over to the hospital he got fleas ! I have been combing him several times a day and we been destroying them by throwing them in the toilet out of the flea comb i hate fleas ! So nasty . And they are young fleas look like little tiny black jumping dots . I just can not have them on my baby or in my house ! But im afraid to spray . So i have been vacuuming alot . I guess i will do like i have done before put them all in one room while i spray that raid in the purple can works good i only have to lock the cats up for a few hours . Guess i will have to go get some advantage front line salem does need some dental work but they are not as bad as the vet told me they are i looked . Why does the vets seem to always tell you its the worse case i have seen ? No its not ! Salems got his own tooth brush but eating can food over the years has not helped . His sister Bella loves dry food her teeth look brand new! I know its a known fact bad teeth are not good for diabetes but his teeth are not that bad .

Good night all ! Or Good Morning !
