I see them on the actual ReliOn website but not available in Walmart online or in store... what is the deal- those took .3 blood sample and while I wasn’t sure the .5 would make a difference but it does.. I feel like I’ve drawn enough blood but the blood doesn’t go up to the strip. The alphatrak was .3 and my stress level was so much lower getting enough blood from her. Now it’s a pricking game of 2,3, maybe on the 4th prick I’ll draw enough blood.

Currently on the phone with Relion and they are saying the Confirm and Micro are discontinued because of the newer models- but- the newer models don’t take .3 blood sample size so what gives!? Maybe they had issues with accuracy and making cheap models that measure .3 weren’t realistic? Ughhhh so annoying

If you want a meter that takes the .3 blood sample and has the side loading strips like the AT2 meter, you could consider the Freestyle Freedom Lite or Freestyle Lite meters by Abbott. You can order strips on Amazon or Ebay for considerably less than they are at retailers. While they are a bit more expensive than the Relion strips, if you are wasting Relion strips trying to get a big enough sample, they aren't much of a bargain in the long run.

I do have the freestyle lite machine actually- it’s the first one I went with but I wondered if the strips weren’t good. They were from the UK- and the eBay site seemed to have good reviews but I thought her readings were way off so I got discouraged by it.

Not sure what the problem was you were having but there are a number of folks using them, myself included and I was quite happy with either meter although I favoured the Freedom Lite for it's size and bigger display. I also started with the AT2. I did discover that the Freestyle reads a bit low at very low range but if I questioned a reading I used my AT2 to double check. I'd rather have a meter read a little low than high for safety sake. :)

Some odd numbers which made me nervous that the strips weren’t good.. it’s unbelievable what a difference .2 of blood is
