11/3 Blaze Amps 121/123 +1 200 +3 213 +7 195 +11 175 PMPS 164 +2 139

It's a safe number to shoot and you shot a 118 before so it's really a matter of whether you are up for monitoring or not. How are you feeling this AM?
Okay, I was thinking it was safe but wanted to make sure, after the night we had last night. I was up until 1 am last night so was hoping to go back to sleep this morning, but will be home to monitor so I’m going to give the normal 1.5u!

60pts is quite a hefty food spike. But that depends on a cats sensitivity to carbs. (my boy was not food sensitive. so I never got that much of a rise)
He may have decided to bounce this am cycle, a +3 will confirm that for you. He should have onset by then and if he isn't bouncing the numbers will start to drop and you will see another curve, if he is bouncing he will likely still be rising.

Okay! I will grab a +3 and see what he’s up to today! Might be a bounce from last nights numbers but we will see! Thank you Gill, I will check back in at +3:)

We all have to choose when we are ready to shoot those lower PS numbers... I can say that for me, if one comes up on a weekend when I am home to test, it is a great opportunity to shoot low and test through the cycle to gather data. With more experience and data, you may then eventually be able to confidently shoot a lower PS, even on a day you are going to work. :) Good job and good luck with this cycle!

You’re so right! This was a good day for him to have a lower PS since I’m home! I’m
Glad it happened today! Thanks Liz!:)

Looks like a bounce to me. But not a bad one as far as bounces go.
I think you both could have a bit of break, perhaps grab a +6 or +7 since you are home, just from a data gathering perspective.

Okay sounds good to me! Gives me some time to do some laundry and some things around the house!

Tiptoeing back into blues already-- he really is starting to settle down some!

Hope the weekend of (mostly) rest means that cold will go away soon, Sarah!
I know, it’s so great to see him not majorly bouncing from the greens last night. It’s such a nice change to see healthy numbers!

I had a (mostly) restful weekend, besides last night, and am definitely feeling better but this cold is still lingering. Hopefully it will be gone in a few more days!

I would. He got a lot of pokes last night, and color change aside, when you account for meter variance he's really just floating around right now. The +11 will let you know if he's truly got some downward momentum leading into PMPS, and give you time to prepare a strategy.

+11 is 175 so he’s still coming down from earlier tests. Tonight is a work night and with me being up until 1am last night, I’m not going to be able to stay up late tonight, I can maybe stay up until +4 and that’s the latest. Any advice for tonight?

Gill may be in her deep nighttime at this stage, so she may not be on for shot time.

My take: he's dropping, but gently. Let's see where he is at PMPS, and assuming he hasn't made any radical moves then, at +2. If he's lower and/or dropping faster than you're comfortable with at that point, you can abort the cycle with HC and leave out MC in the autofeeder. He was tough last night, requiring a fair amount of carbs, but never actually got near the danger zone in terms of numbers, so the autofeeder should be able to keep him safe.

It doesn't seem like the +1 is giving you helpful information lately, so I'd stick with the +2 or +3 to get a bead on the night's prospects.

I should say, it's a work night for me, too (three hours ahead of you), so I'm not going to be able to stay up, either-- might not even make it to your +2. But I'm not worried about you guys-- you know your way around this stuff pretty well at this point!

Okay I like this plan, thanks so much Nan! I will see where he’s at with PMPS and skip the +1 like you said and grab a +2 and +3 and go from there. If I have to carb him up, load the auto feeder and head to bed, so be it! He seems to be clearing bounces a little quicker and not bouncing as hard anymore so fingers crossed he stays on this path.

Thank you for all your help, I hope you get some rest! If don’t talk to you again tonight, I will talk to you tomorrow!:)

PMPS is 164, I can’t stall due to my work schedule so I’m feeding him. You think it’s okay to shoot the full 1.5U tonight Nan?

Yes. He's teasing you, dropping, but too slowly to pull the plug just yet. This is a safe number to shoot, but it's good that you're going to be on your guard for the +2 and (potentially) be up for the +4.

Be good, Blaze!!!!

I know! I will see where he’s at with +2 and 3, I can stay up for +4 but will have to head to bed after that so hopefully he doesn’t get too crazy! Thanks again Nan! Sleep well tonight!

Just checking in to see what Blaze has been up to. Nice to see that he didn't bounce much but I hope he isn't too dramatic tonight. I like Nan's plan. :D
Thanks for checking in Linda! I hope he isn’t dramatic tonight either, with last nights late night and tonight being a work night, I can’t stay up too late  I like Nan’s plan too, we’ll see what happens at +2!:D

Hi Sarah
I was asleep for your pmps, it was 2am for me
Good job shooting.
That +2 you got was lower, that indicated an active cycle, typical cat conspiring to rob you of some rest. I would suspect he got back into green. This dose is looking good for him.
I look forward to seeing amps.
