Just trying to get some good numbers. Due to work schedule, unable to get a +2, but I've been working on getting a +2 after PMPs and hope to get more data on weekends. Reading up on dosing methods.

It can be a challenge to get tests after the shot if you work. Some members are able to move the shot time back a bit so they can get at least a +1 or +2. If you even have an hour between her shot and when you leave, I’d suggest an out-the-door test. You can also get an in-the-door test if it’s at +11 or earlier. That data will help.

On her SS, for insulin, you just want Lantus and not the dose as the dose will change. Dosing method is going to be either TR or SLGS once you decide. Let us know your questions when you’ve read through the dosing methods.

Hi Giles Mom! It looks like you're coming right along. I'm happy to see your post today!

I have one question for you - on your SS you wrote at the top 'Dosing method: pen injection?'

Are you using syringes to administer the insulin with? If not, you'll want to pick up some U-100 syringes as soon as you can. I get mine from Walmart - Relion u-100, 31 guage, 15/64's because it's a tiny needle barrel size and the needle tips are quite short - Luci is a short hair tuxedo so we don't have a lot of fur to deal with. You can withdraw the insulin from the pen just like a vial - thru the rubber stopper. If you have an occasion to increase or decrease in the near future, you'll be doing so by .25 increments. Those pen injections are for humans who administer their insulin in 1 unit increments...too much for Giles.

At any rate keep testing! You're doing great! Give Giles some scritches for us...:D:D

I didn't know what that meant at first. I updated it. I'm going to try Tight Regulation, although I won't be able to do 3,6,9 every day... but I'll get what I can and do 3,6,9's on my work from home days, and weekends that I'm able.
I'm going to get my hands on those syringes, thank you. Bella's mom suggested syringes to me as well. :)
She also recommended we up it .25, so my plan is to do that as soon as I have syringes which I hope to have this weekend.

Not sure what you mean by getting 3, 6, 9 except maybe tests. You don't need that many everyday (unless your doing a curve) Getting at least one of those everyday yes. Like +3 one day, the next get a +5 or 6. Day after one at a different time. Etc.
