Good late morning! Hoorah for Tina! She just got her second green AMPS since we started insulin July 3. She broke her flat streak by getting an 83 at PMPS +3.5, had a snack and went to 72 at PMPS +4.5.
The other green AMPS was on the 18th hour AMPS when I had the second cataract surgery Oct 11.
I wanted the +2 this morning, but my doc appt went quite late. Still drove home for a +2.5, and +4 is soon. Then had to go see some other kitty cats (one is a young Elmo - she gave me the exact same Elmo face)!

Tina has been on Levothyroxine (named Thyro-tabs for pets) and every other day subq fluids for two weeks. We are halfway to rechecking blood work. During this time, she has also begun using her outside enclosure, getting more exercise. She was in and out several times last night! I bought another bag of fluids, and the front desk girl acted surprised Tina was letting me do this. They charge $42 for each administration (with that large 18g needle). :) Tina likes the 15 minutes of love with the 22g, and it is so easy to slide in.

Wishing all beans a great day, and save surfing for all our dear kitties:cool::D

Hard to believe that Tina only has had two green AMPS's but the chart does prove it! With her wonderful numbers you would have thought that Tina would have had many more green starts;)

So glad that Tina tolerates the fluids. Can't wait to hear about her next blood test results:)

Hope all is well. Enjoy the day:bighug:

The advice from Marje, trying a PMPS +9 snack, looks to have lowered the AMPS, meaning we might be real close to trying a reducie :)
Since we saw a 72 last night, she might earn it either way - by going under 68, or staying under 110 for a week:cat:

My DH has helped every time we have given fluids, which has given me more practice and confidence to do it on my own when he's gone. I sure like having his assistance though.

Thank you for rooting for better blood test results next time - with the kidneys and thyroid:bighug:

This makes me :D:D:D:D:D:D. I am so happy to see this gorgeous day. And also to hear she is doing well. I am looking at her SS every day to see if the next one is the day we reduce. Of course, if you get below a 68, she’s telling you it’s time!!! A day or two more like this and we are ready for that reduction that comes with a week in normal numbers, mostly green.

I hope your dr visit went well.

This is beautiful, thank you Marje for checking on us!! It's a great feeling, and here she comes right now wanting a snack a little early; 86 at +2. I don't usually give her anything until +3 at night. She hadn't been one to go lower at night, but earlier in the day, and that has changed. Ok, +2s are important;)

Doctors visit was very thorough (2 hours again) but all is great. I have 3 eye exercises - one called pencil push-ups (back and forth focusing between near and arms length), and also word search puzzles which I actually like. The letters get smaller over time. I'm not supposed to use reading glasses unless critical, then if I do, I'm supposed to do several pencil push-ups. Sounds like a good practical joke, but it's not:smuggrin:
