I'm "Frustrated!" My Whirlpool Cabrio dryer is only 3 years old & it's not heating properly (clothes still damp after nearly 2 hours!) & now it's making a loud screeching noise. I can't use it at all!
Whirlpool told me they don't give advice, I need to schedule a service call. Told them I cannot afford to spend a couple hundred $'s to fix a dryer only 3 yrs old! My last dryer lasted nearly 20 years. What kinda junk are they making now days?
I've been hanging the clothes on a line in the utility room. Just what I need right now I'll watch some Youtube videos & see if I can fix it myself . "One damn thing after another!"
At least all kitties are doing well! I understand your frustration, I replaced my 18yo dryer with a Maytag 3 years ago; from day one the "steam refresh" cycle never worked; technician came twice, replaced sensor and he finally admitted that this cycle never worked properly! So I'm stuck with a dryer I hate!
Hope you find the solution on YouTube so you'll be able to fix yours!
Nice cycle for Ravan today!
Last time we bought appliances the sales person told us that the manufacturers are making the appliances to last only 5-7 years now.
I'm sorry about the dryer business...sounds like it may not be heating up...just a wild guess on my part. I hope it's a simple fix.
I hate my washer and dry too. Paid $1700 for that stupid set of LG - brand new - huge tub and the no agitator style too...but unless you set it on 'Bulky Bedding' it doesn't get enough water in it to wash the clothes...all the other cycles just put in about a gallon of cold water and the clothes just slosh around as if in a puddle in the bottom. ugh...so I have to set it on BB all the time! Which is really too much water! No winning on this one. It's all junk nowadays. The only ones that are decent are Speed Queen and they're expensive - but next time that's what I'm getting - when this junk dies...or I move...one or the other...
Glad your kitties are ok...hope things get sorted out. Yes, it is always SOMETHING!
BOOOOOO! If more people complained maybe it would change. I think people are too complacent. I write E mails when I really don't like something but it takes a lot of people doing that to make an impression.
I'm so sorry about all the stress you are under concerning your precious babies. Seizures are stressful to say the least. So much compassion and strength coming your way
Poor Ravan, that's a long time 30 seconds. Poor baby.
Sending some good luck vines and healing vines to you and the kitties.
Good luck with the dryer situation, I hope it's something you can fix.
Maytag, Epic. On the pedestals. I don't even use most of the cycles. Needed set that would fit king size comforter. And be kind to my back. Mostly use cold water wash, never hot, occasionally warm. In the dryer I only use low setting for heat, 60 minute cycle. Hot is to hot. Use medium heat for sheets and they are dry in 45 minutes. Came with shoe rack for dryer, I used it twice maybe and that was for a sweater on extra low heat. Lint filter is right in front, easy to reach and larger than most. And the detergent dispenser is all divided for liquid, powder, softner, bleach. I use liquid or pods most time. If I use oxyclean powder it goes in drum first. At the time I read to many reviews how the steam option (new function back then) didn't work so stayed away from it. A few times I apparently put in to much soap. It has a desudzing function but it takes forever, so I drain then run rinse cycle and that takes care of it.
