Had another communication glitch trying to get Tina's Gourmed Gabapentin refilled. Her dose doubled, and I was originally told by Wedgewood, (last bottle of 25mg was $48), if I had the vet call them, I could get a bottle of 50mg for $58. So I called and asked the vet (who has notes about this Gaba situation from the first go-round) to send a new prescription for 50mg. (Four days go by, and nothing.) I call Wedgewood back, and am told they are still busy compounding her 50mg chewies (with sugar). The second guy at Wedgewood says they don't have gourmeds in 50mg, so I'll need to get two bottles of 25mg. I would have already had the tablets if I had just taken the 25mg tabs to begin with instead of trying to save money! It has been quite a trip just getting these gourmed tablets (no sugar) for Tina. Anyway, Wedgewood is shipping overnight for no charge. But now all I have are left are the old sugar chewy things that DO boost her BG a little bit. Grrrrr.
Tina doesn't care about all that, she's just happy, hungry and about as active as any other cat in the house!
She had her little snack at PMPS +9 last night.
