Yesterday

Good morning all Elmo ate well over night and again this AM. He came down to 172 before bed so makes me wonder where he surfed last night... Dr Rusty comes this afternoon and I’m thrilled to be getting a local source for antibiotics to pulse for Elmo’s gums and treat for any flare ups. Such a blessing to have a vet that listens , trusts owner judgement and willing to come here, even tho Elmo is not a cow Blessings and prayers offered to any person or kitty who needs them

Good morning Beth! Wow! Elmo might have gone for a little dip in the lagoon! He sure looks beautiful sitting on the beach this morning!
So nice of your vet to come over and doesn't discriminate between cows and Elmo! Don't forget to tell him we think he's a GREAT VET!

Thanks, Carla Praying the exam is brief ( think he’s on his way to a farm call ) and Elmo is calm . Just a relief to have source for antibiotics for his gums.

Got call from vet office asking what I wanted him to do and what to bring His office manager has become a good friend over the years...I believe she’s the neck that turns the head

+3 264....Gave Thyroid meds, SQ at +3 cos was sound asleep at +2....next check planned for +5 ....vet here at +6.5.

Vet update: he gave me two open ended Rx for ABs and instructions on how to pulse and how to handle flare ups .....said he’ll come back and check if I want or just give him a call Told him what y’all were saying here ab his willingness to come and he just grinned.... Not bad for a cow doctor

Hearing about your vet kind of reminds me of James Herriot from the All Creatures Great and Small series. Loved watching that program so much! You and Elmo are so lucky to have such a great vet!

I'm glad Elmo's vettie home visit went well. Isn't it wonderful to have a vet that see's him/herself as a partner and listens to the owner? I hope the antibiotics help with Elmo's dental issues and that he's back to his old self soon.

Thanks , Suzanne First round of them didn’t set so well with his belly so will pull back and restart tomorrow. Been a big day for ole Elmo...some interloper poking around in his mouth on his kitchen table Not cool..... going to do as little as possible to him this evening after his harrowing day
