Good morning! Hope everyone has a beautiful day. Moey went to the beach for a bit last night and early this morning. I think he got to dabble his little toesies into the water. Very excited to see what the day brings!

Oh my...I think I may have given Ittle a fur shot and of ALL nights!!!! I usually know immediately if I've missed due to the overwhelming chemical/diesel smell. I didn't detect the usual aroma so, assumed all was good. Well judging by Ittle's numbers I'd say he got a fur shot. I smelled his fur where I inject and did smell the funky aroma of insulin. It wasn't an overwhelming odor as it normally is. I'm weird.... I usually smell the kitties after I shoot just to ensure no insulin odor. Most times there is a slight odor that dissipates after a little time. Well, so much for shooting him through the bounce. I'm sure his numbers are going to be heinous in the morning! Poor Ittle, dumb hooman!
Thanks all for the help, goodnight!

Ittle is getting busy isn't he??? Moey, you need to come on and follow your brother :) So cute to have two of them...nice trip to the beach and those lagoon visits...lovely!

Have a great day Briere!

Yeah not sure what's going on with Ittle's last 2 readings. New dose wonkiness perhaps?? Well I gave Ittle some DR. Elsey's salmon(5% carbs) which has double the carbs of the chicken formula. Maybe this will stabilize his numbers and keep him from dropping anymore. My only other choice for food would be high carb dry. I really don't want to spike him from dry food so, I'm praying the salmon does the trick. I'll repeat a test in 30 mins to see where he is. Any advice is always appreciated. Thanks!

Those are great numbers...but you're right to test frequently now...don't want any shark chasing at this point. Very nice that he's already in the lagoon paddling away :)

Hold it there Moey, no lower please. :D Looks like Ittle decided he didn’t want that increase, at least per SLGS.

I agree....Ittle didn't want the increase. Moey's hanging tight so far. Had to run some errands so, I couldn't test Moey like I wanted. According to the SLGS I should back Ittle's dose back down to 1 unit, correct? Even in the middle of a dose increase? I don't want to hurt any progress that Ittle made but, I don't want to deal with the sharks either. Ittle didn't act hypo...he did lay around a little more than usual and didn't beg me for food throughout the day. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch! Y'all rock!

I went ahead and gave Ittle a skinny 1.25u. My gut told me since this was the first time he had lower readings to try and hold the dose as close to 1.25u as possible. He responded to the 5% carb cat food well so, I think things should be fine. I will monitor closely. I hope I didn't mess up! Can't stand the thought of hurting my little sweet cheeker pumpkin eater:(

You would decrease the dose a full 0.25 units by SLGS. Even if shortly after an increase. He was still above our “take action” number of 50 so I would hope he didn’t show signs of hypo. He was just in numbers he isn’t used to.

What you did tonight by shooting the 1.25 again is what we call "Shooting through the bounce".

It can be helpful when they bounce so high like he did (to give him a little extra juice that one time) but the AM dose should be the 1U again
