So I suppose a 135 is not too bad after his licking of the ice cream bowl last night. He again didn't want to eat all of his food. I went back to the utility room 15 minutes after his shot and he had only eaten a 1/3. I brought it out and set it on the couch and he only ate a bit more. So I took him back to the utility room and mixed in a bit of the dregs from the purebites salmon in with his food and he gobbled it down. He's not sick because prior to finishing his Friskies Poultry platter, he was having a case of the zoomies. I've got a lot of large cans of this food left, so I'll suppose I'll just mix in a bit of the purebites to see if we can use it up. In the meantime, I'll go back to square one to find another food that's as or almost as low in carbs as this one. This boy is living the dream after living predominantly outside his entire life, eating kibble and now being an inside cat and eating canned food:smuggrin:.

Good morning, LT and Suzanne :bighug: Zoomies are a very good thing !!! Elevator going down, LT ....get your hiney on it and take your Bro Elmo with you. You two need to hang out in the Man Cave today :cat: :cat:

Zoomies always make me smile! I use the"chicken dust" technique with Tina when necessary, and it works great! I use freeze dried chicken crumbles when she is not happy with some additive I've put in her food (meds). LT is such a beauty, and now he's a happy, healthy guy too:)

:D "Little hiney" - I love it. Yeah, let em' hang out in the man cave today - cataritas and catarinis and maybe a bit of caviar.

@Beth 73, LT got on the elevator and pushed "basement". I gave 1.5 tsp. of his LC to slow him down. Now I have to miss my husband's doctor's appt. which is an 1.5 hours away. I'm going to set up the auto-feed while he's gone so this doesn't happen again. My friend that helps me out was unavailable (at our church's ladies Bible study). So here I sit:arghh:.

You could go ahead and leave extra food out (maybe higher carb), with your magic sprinkles. Would you be comfortable doing that? I did that before I had the auto feeder.
I might also stay home, but we should be able to live normally too!
I went ahead and stayed home - my lack of planning is pathetic. However, this has prompted me to get my rear in gear and set up the feeder. It not only would have allowed me to leave today, but it will help me get some more sleep at night.

@Wendy&Neko I'm going to start the +8 snack today and will use the auto-feeder for the night snack.

Now that some slide down. Maybe LT jumped. Why not have the feeder set all the time? Ollie micro feeder for the most part always has food in it. The auto feeder I use for pmps +9 but I think she isn't using it and PJ is.

@Wendy&Neko he's at 139 at +8.5, should I still give him the snack? Do you think previous day's lower numbers were emptying the depot and he's building it again? The drop+ threw him low and the 1 drop is not enough - what to do, what to do.....

Sorry for the late reply, I was out getting a boat back on the water. I would have tried a couple tsp, just to see if it brought him down. If you didn’t, there is always tomorrow.

Hi Suzanne, I read your post about Tucker... I'm so sorry to hear about that. It's always sad to see our beloved pets not faring well.

As for LT...oh my, ice cream! Well that'll teach you to leave your bowl unguarded! Luci would have done exactly the same thing! He's certainly keeping you busy....sorry you weren't 'ready' with that auto-feeder set up...it does take a bit...but once it's done..you won't be without it!

I've been so busy with work lately...now here it is past my bedtime...

Hope you all have a pleasant evening :)

Tucker is hanging in there, still chasing LT around the house a couple of times a day and still scarfing down his food. I appreciate your concern for him.

I can't guess what this boy will do next. Coming in at a 104 tonight after lifting into the 130s today. I sprinkled a bit of fairy dust (pure-bites salmon) on his food when he stopped eating and he polished it off. He's currently on a 4% carb food and I'm wondering if it should affect him much if I put him on a 5% carb?

There is enough error in manufacturing process from can to can, that there is essentially no difference between a 4 and 5% carb food.
Thanks, he's tired of the Poultry Platter, so when he absolutely won't eat it even with the PureBites salmon dust, I'll have to switch.

@Wendy&Neko I just want you to know I'm setting up the auto feeder for +8 on this cycle. I'll add a bit of water to the 2 tsp of food so it doesn't get to try. My question is should I have the tray spin at +10 to make sure he doesn't eat any after that? I don't know if he'll notice it without a bit of practice, but it's worth a try.
