Good morning! Happy Friday!:)

AMPS is 409, another bounce from hitting blues last night? I wonder if Blaze had more blue numbers after I went to bed....I was so tired, I couldn't stay up any longer:(

I will be going on vacation 9/19-9/29, so I’m meeting a pet sitter this weekend who has experience with BG testing and insulin, I think I will take the given advice of decreasing Blaze’s does for while we are gone. He’s on 1.25U now so I think I will have her give 1U starting 9/19. Since he’s hitting these blues and a couple greens with the 1.25U, and the pet sitter can only test AMPS/PMPS, this would make me feel better while we’re gone.
 
I hope Blaze clears the bounce soon. For a vacation dose we usually recommend decreasing two or three cycles early to drain the depot.

Okay thank you Carla! I think I will decrease from 1.25 to 1U on Tuesday evening, that way he had Tuesday evening, Wednesday morning and Wednesday evening before we leave.
 
I can just imagine having gone through a significant period when Miss Menace SS was a sea of green and I was afraid to sleep through the night. The difference being, I was retired so I could always grab a nap during the day. You don't have that luxury and my hat is off to you and everyone who is working full time and dealing with this.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you Linda! It’s definitely hard and I’m
very tired, I’m trying my best to keep Blaze safe and still get some sleep. It’s hard to juggle it all. But I’m doing my best!:):bighug:
 
Ok Give him some HC gravy only, With him dropping so fast, I think we need to be sure not to fill him up too much. Maybe a tsp or 2.
 
No don't worry. MC is fine. I meant to put "HC" in my original message and ooopps!
Hold off on the testing for 30 minutes post gravy. Want to see if that has slowed him down or better yet, boosted him up a tad.

I think he’s protesting that he’s not coming to Hawaii with us. He’s telling me he does not want to stay home with his siblings:cool:
