So, we were on track for a regular on-time dose tonight, PMPS 291, fed part of a can of Tiki, and was getting ready for evening insulin... and she vomited, looks like the amount of what she'd just eaten. AMPS was 191. Pee and poop seem normal. Hoping there is just a hairball or something going on, but didn't see any hairball in the vomit. Obviously can't inject, at least not on time. Probably doing a delayed and reduced dose if any. Any advice is welcome.

Yes, got her to eat 3 oz, spread out over a half hour. Great appetite, she kept shoving me out of the way to get her food. I'm waiting to see if she'll hold it down. Planning to give her insulin 2 hours late, if she can hold the food down for the next 10 minutes. Does that seem okay? We have 5 days off in a row to get her back on schedule.

Good news. Hope it was just a fluke, maybe a scarf and barf. Will you be around to keep an eye on her for a while... the best of luck. I'll check in with you in the morning.:bighug:

Yep, we gave the full dose of insulin 2 hours late, about 20 min after she fini. She seems to be doing fine, hasn't vomited. Hoping it was just a fluke.
How are things now. Did you give the insulin?
How did you make out last night. Hope is the little furball this morning?

Gave her full dose of insulin 2hrs late last night. Watched her for several hours. No more vomit. Looks like just a fluke. Woke up and did a +9.5 which would have been around the time we normally do her morning insulin and her BG was 101 (lowest number yet) Fed her 1 oz of food. Then her time adjusted AMPS was 162. Low for her but she's had a few of those and we've been cutting the dose because we weren't home to monitor. But I'm home today so I shot the full dose. I'll monitor every couple hours and feed if necessary. She seems herself this morning so fingers crossed. :cat:
Thank you for checking on us! Just when I keep thinking we're getting in the routine of things, something new happens. o_O

That's the FD dance, wonderful isn't it LOL. I've been doing it for almost a year and my Jerry still manages to throw a wobbly now and again. I think they do it just to test us and make sure we're paying attention. I would get a +2 to see where the cycle is heading, it's usually a good indicator of whether it will be an active cycle or not. +2 same or lower = active +2 higher usually = normal (but they are Cats so does normal apply?).

Glad she managed to keep her food down last night, well done.

+2 is 162. Exactly the same as her AMPS. Feeding 1oz now to keep those numbers stable.
