Looks like he may have bounced.
He didn't drop below 50, so I would hold the dose at 1.5u

Is he interested in his breakfast?

Good morning, Beth, and what in the world did Elmo get up to after I went to bed????? Surfing in the 200's, nice and stable, then as soon as I decide it's safe to leave you he makes his move? The little stinker! Knowing it all worked out, I was laughing as I read about how pleased he was with his gravy feast. He knows how to work an angle! He might also have been feeling better-than-usual getting down to blue and green, after his time in the reds and blacks.

No dose changes based on last night, at least. He never got down below a reduction point, actually he spent most of the time in pretty good numbers. The trick now is to get his body used to those numbers (no bouncing!) and encouraging him to spend even more time in them.

350 not a bad AMPS considering, but he's probably only getting started moving up today, sigh. Still-- good numbers last night!

It looks like he may bounce today, but it's hard to know for sure. I think you can safely take a nap if you are able to and get a +2 to see what he's got planned for the day.

No , not at all wanting to eat
He may be feeling icky with the BG swinging up. Or perhaps he's just still full (did he get a snack at +9.5)

See if you can get him to eat at least some of his breakfast.
From past performance it seems probable that he will bounce, shooting will mitigate that and hopefully see him return (in calmer fashion) to good numbers.
You have a few hours till the shot will kick in so there is time for you to get some food into him.

" In calmer fashion".. I receive those words too, Gill:bighug:

Just a thought about testing.
I've been looking at his numbers.
He seems to drop pretty fast and hard early on in the cycle.
Although many folk use the +2 as an indicator for whether we will see an active cycle, I found that with George (who also would drop hard at the begining of a cycle) a +1 was more telling, if he was lower than PS I would have to hold on to my hat. But if I saw a bit of a food spike he usually didn't need managing.

I know you are tired today, so if you want to take a nap till +2 that's fine, he's going to be safe till then. But just might be worth getting +1 and +2's and see if you can see a pattern occuring there with Elmo. If you can spot the drop happening early enough perhaps you can feed to slow him down, it seems to me that at +2 he's already gathered quite some momentum....

also try to update ss, otherwise folk coming new to this won't be able to tell what was going on.

Also needing input as to your favorite MC and HC foods that can be gotten at Pets Mart and/or Pet Co. I could order on Amazon but don't want cases of the stuff:eek: Or Wal Mart.....ours is a small one so I got what was available but can go to a Super Center for larger selection .

 Looks like Elmo is bouncing to the moon!! Come back space cat!!:rolleyes:

Hopefully this bounce doesn’t last too long :)

Have a great day Beth :)

It's up to you, I could never help myself I was a testaholic, so I would probably would get a +3, but I was just thinking of you.

I think would be safe for both of you to have a break, perhaps split the difference and test at +4 or +5?
Prob go with +4 ...I have to give meds at +2 and + 4

Beth, when do you sleep?????
I am a zombie !!! I need no sleep  Nah, not true ..I more fall asleep , sitting up , than take a nap :) I will be trying this nap thing here in a bit . Nights like last night usually hit me day after , like tomorrow

Pace yourself Beth! I know I was guilty of burning the candle at both ends, it does no one any good.

Just wanted to let you know, I've nipped out, in R waiting to see ophthalmologist, my eyes flared up:(
So I may not respond if otherwise occupied.

Be good Elmo

You take care of yourself too, Gill:bighug:

As per Dr. Lisa Pierson food chart: that's the link to the complete list:
Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers: 15% and up to 20%
Fancy Feast Medleys Florentine, any flavors as long as it says "in a delicate sauce": 12% to 14%

You did such a good job last night, you can be proud of yourself!:bighug: Try to rest when you have a chance so you'll be ready for the next attack, if there's another one! :p We never know when our kitties will feel like dancing again...

There's that Elmo-riffic bounce! Hope he comes back down soon (but not toooooo quickly-- give Beth a chance to sleep some tonight, Elmo!)
Amen !!! Knowing Elmo's MO as you do, Nan what would you think tonight might hold ?? Or will it be a surprise ???? I'm afraid I'm wearing out the Pros here on the Board

I predict that he'll still be bouncing for at least tonight. Once he gets up there, he doesn't seem to be in a hurry to come down!

Now watch, now that I said that, he'll try to prove me wrong...

Elmo is giving you the opportunity to catch up on some ZZZs so use it wisely. I am heading off to bed now and think you should think about doing likewise. Remember Elmo needs you in tip top shape. He will get frisky again! :D
