Tell Sebastian that 'flat yellow' is supposed to be a predictor of dropping numbers...I see he doesn't follow that rule does he?

I hope the increase helps show him the way...

Have a great day Justin!

It looks like you are using the R appropriately. The numbers tell how well.
I've been thinking about IBS and Sebastian; actually thinking about gastroparesis in diabetic people. It makes blood sugar control very difficult. I really hope Sebastian's gut heals;)

I'm just so frustrated because it had. Prior to last week's dental and fasting everything (besides the BG) was great. We switched to raw food and did a fecal matter transplant and he was so much better. Eating great, lots of energy, no vomit, gaining weight. And then it's like a switch was flipped and we lost all that progress. It just doesn't make any sense though, how it would all just go away in one day. I'm tempted to buy another round of the FMT pills and do it all over again.

You are so thorough - amazing. I'm sorry I hadn't looked at more of your history, or didn't recall. I wonder if a doctor would tell you to give it some time. Stomachs can be so touchy. I'd be like you, wondering if Sebastian needs more gut help. You are a great cat daddy:):cat:

I'm very fortunate in that I work from home. I'm basically always here to test as much as needed. And I work in a technical field so I'm intimately familiar with the importance of data gathering and then trying to figure out what that data means.

I'd be surprised if they actually had any input. FMT is still fairly new, my vet didn't even know you could do it as a pill supplement. I'm still waiting on the post-test results from Animal Biome, at which point I'll be sending both pre and post results to them (and posting here). I imagine I'll be educating them a bit. I'm not going to pull the trigger on a second round just yet but I think if he hasn't bounced back in another week I probably will. Didn't have any issues the first time around and I can't see a second batch doing much harm.

I went ahead and ordered the FMT. My gut says we'll need it and their site says it's in high demand and can take a week to get here, so I'm glad I did. Worst/best case scenario, he gets better within the next week and we don't need it and I either keep it on hand or donate it to someone.

And I just gave him an injection of sub-q Cerenia. He didn't want to eat his late afternoon food and has been licking his lips and loafing a bit, so I can tell he's feeling nauseous. And since I can't get the pill in his mouth directly and have to mix it in his food, which he's not going to want to eat, sub-q was the best option. Starting tomorrow evening when it's wearing off I'm going to go back to regularly mixing the pill into his food so hopefully we can keep him eating until we get this sorted out.

PMPS 222, B-0HB 0.5, 11lbs 12oz. Another low energy day, he just spent all day sleeping. Not like sick sleeping, he was comfy on the couch and alert when I picked him up, just low energy. Appetite was a bit down but all the relevant numbers look good. Blood ketones still in the normal range and weight is actually up a couple ounces.

And that BG. He's got this weird inverted curve going on right now where he rises during the day and then is lowest at PS. So it feels like a breakthrough is right around the corner.
