Last post, in which my power was out

Well, I didn’t think my appliances were all messed up, but the freezer is set on maximum coldness and my ice is actually liquid water. :p The oven didn’t seem to work fully last night when we tried to use it, either.

Alice started out very high this morning and has been climbing higher rather than lower this week, so I am still thinking I’ll toss this pen and try a new one when I pick up the spare pens tomorrow. (Expires pen given to me, no major loss.) Actually I suppose if the refrigerator seems to be running at half-capacity (I’m so sad, I really love this refrigerator!), I’ll probably only pick up one new pen. Leave the others somewhere more reliable.

Sorry your appliances are messed up. I'd just get one pen right now too. Hopefully the new pen will bring Alice's numbers down.
 
What's going on with the power? Looks like Alice had a nice blue mid-day...did she keep going ?

Hope you had a better day and the appliances decided it would be okay to start working again :)
 
Sorry all, just getting caught up a bit. The excitement of the week combined with other issues wore me out!

Alice had a nice blue this morning but I didn’t feed her as much over the night, for the last several hours.... I’m still using the same pen. I didn’t make it to pick up a new one as they are currently stored 30-40 minutes away. I thought I might tomorrow as I will be further out that direction.

I feel like her numbers generally just are running too high right now though and I either need to bump the dose back up or try another pen.

The freezer is finally starting to freeze. I had water cubes but after days now I think I have full ice cubes. Haha. I had to turn everything to maximum coldness. I’ll take it as a sign that it is slightly functional, but still not quite right. I’m going to test everything further before I decide what’s broken and not and if I need to file an insurance claim for appliances.

Tomorrow I’m taking in another cat to the vet, my mostly outdoor black cat. Alice goes in for bloodwork next week, on the 9th I believe.

My neighbor next door lost their air conditioning from the power surges. That’s not something you want to lose in August/September in Oklahoma!

Once again I know I should start a whole new thread but I am still so behind. Just wanted to say we are getting on well enough. :)

The real trick is getting these unfortunate boxes/piles of stuff, I have been meaning to clean and sort and rearrange and yard sale and donate, far away from me.... getting everything straightened up enough to have someone come in and look and test things. Waiting to get past the holiday, I suppose. If someone would just tell the Ginger Boys to get to work....

But every time they start to clean for me they get distracted by the books.... sometimes they try to sneak the phone out to call Japan because they heard cats say “meow” differently there. <3
 
LOL -- love the pictures, Alice looks so like those Perils of Pauline heroines ... beautiful and wistful

Catcat has to give my books a good rubbing too, will park himself on one if I'm not holding it
 
Oh my! Those kitties are so cute!!! And they should be helping...but as usual...cats are always sacked out somewhere aren't they?

Hope you enjoy the holiday...start small if your challenge is a big one. Just take one box, etc. of things to deal with at a time :)
