Hi all I just wanted to advise you all of another low carb wet food option. I received a Chewy email for some new Blue Buffalo wet food and shot them a question regarding the carb % content. They contacted Blue Buffalo and got back to me with the following info:
Regarding the carb content of the Blue Buffalo Carnivora Coastal Blend Grain-Free Adult Wet Cat Food, I was able to confirm that the carb content is 1.4%, I will try to get that included on our site so our pet parents can see that piece of information. So you can definitely add this to the variety of foods.
Just thought I would pass this along as I know we all want options for our picky felines!

pumpkin as an ingredient is fine with me, would have to see how it digests and affects BG and poo given the peas and carrot in it; potato (in the Blue Wilderness grain free line) doesn't seem to affect either

oh yes, it's not what I'd call budget friendly either .. LOL

Is that a Guaranteed Analysis figure, Dry Matter or what?

Ideally, you want the percentage of protein, fat and carbs that comes from calories, the metabolizable energy (ME) profile (and the milligrams of phosphorus per 100 kcal). Food manufacturers don't normally provide that info (Weruva is the only exception I know of) so you have to specifically request it and hope they will give it to you. That is the type of info on the cat food list created by Dr Pierson.

I wonder about the fat, that is something I need to watch for Buddy. Does anyone know of a wet food that has low carbs, low fat and that is budget friendly.

try Friskies Flaked with Tuna -- one of the lower-fat budget cans with a bit more protein than most
One time several years ago I got him to eat a couple of bites, but he would never try it again. At this time he is eating a little Dr.Esley's wet chicken flavor and Dr.Esley's dry chicken flavor (he prefers the dry). Neither 1 of these are budget friendly.

I'm not sure you are looking at the same wet food. Here is the link. I see no grains, potatoes or peas.
