Ravan's BG is way up again. He's still eating & acting normal. His last "Health Blood Panel" 4 weeks ago was good. I had it done then because he was barely eating. I thought his Kidneys were failing. Vet said kidneys had stabilized & everything looked fine.
Having another blood panel now is financially not possible. I was reading some old posts & one person said her cat's BG would go up every fall & stay high till spring. Could the weather affect his bg that much?

I have some Amoxicillin & was thinking of trying that for a week to see if it helps. Maybe he has another UTI brewing?

Between him & Peggy Sue I'm "wiped" out in more ways than one! I'm going to sleep the rest of the day!

You are being kept close in heart and spirit. There will be more good days to come.
Your message made me sad for you, and that's the only reason I didn't "like" it!

No doubt the weather could change things a bit, but I wouldn't think by so much. There is a saying in the human diabetic world that the wind changing direction, or even a full moon, can screw around with good control. Diabetes throws challenges even when you finally think you understand it.

It's definitely not like Ravan to be up so high at his PSs, Im sending him some low BG vines and hoping there isnt anything brewing (like a UTI) If you have antibiotics I don't think it would hurt to try them -> that being said: I dont know a lot about the effects of ABs in cats.

I can definitely imagine how wiped you would feel, but you're doing so great taking care of your kitty babies! you are the greatest cat mom :joyful:

hang in there :bighug:
