Happy Sunday and a wonderful day to all. Hoping for little miracles for those in need.

It's a special family day, and I'll be gone from +1 until +10.
Tina gets her own room today - and a bit of food left out for her to graze on. I'm putting a couple bowls down, LC choices with a small bit of mid-carb mixed in.
Thanks for all the support:)

I had a wonderful time with my family, and did not worry about Tina. In fact I felt quite confident after her "normal" AMPS number, and watching her have some of her snack right away! Just like Sonia said, it was perfect for Tina, she had the master bedroom all to herself with snacks!

I've lived in this area again, for almost 20 years, and it's my first time to go to the Dallas World Aquarium. I was surprised to see lots of birds, owls, penguins, a sloth:p a wildcat, poison frogs, snakes, humongous crocodiles, sharks, which I expected, and lots more. Took lots of pictures. My favorite animal - the sloth!!! It was wonderful seeing my nephews and the others.

I missed you all today! I want to catch up on everyone, but need to stay off the computer a little ;) Can't stay completely away though.

Yes, it's special to spend enjoyable time with family :) So glad that you've found there is life with FD...some folks seem unable to grasp that you 'can' really have a life with a diabetic cat :bighug::bighug:

I hope Tina surfs safely today. I'm sure she'll enjoy all the food left out for her. Have fun with your family.

Were you ever right Carla! I laughed as I left the house. I peeked at her right before leaving, and she was sneakily nibbling the duck. I do not have an auto-feeder yet, as that's been me.
I come and go a lot, but haven't been away since diagnosis, for more than 5-6 hours at a time. In the beginning of this FD journey, I lowered the dose or skipped when being gone a few hours.

So . . . I put down almost three snack portions of her regular LC food. After an AMPS that was "her" normal, I reviewed the spreadsheet, grew some confidence, and decided she didn't need MC. If the AMPS had been 130 or lower, I would have given a little MC before I left. It turned out she ate almost the same amount I would have given, and had a nice blue too:cool:
