Hi I was looking at Dr Lisa's food chart and under the Naturals I don't see this one listed, in the chart it doesn't say Pate. Does any one give this to their kitties. I see there is one chicken listed on the her food chart it says Natural White Meat Chicken in Broth 0 carbs and the fat is 25 %. I wonder if this is the pate that is listed on the chart or is it something different
Right now I'm giving Tyler the Fancy Feast Classic Chicken Pate, he loves it but I was just looking to see if I might find something with less fat, trying to get Tyler to lose some weight. Thanks

We gave these a shot but our boys weren't very fond of them. Does your kitty mind textured varieties? Tiki in particular has some varieties that have a higher protein to fat ration, which is what I try to seek when finding good options for our guys. Tiki is all textured varieties, so we mix it into pate for our more discerning customer (i.e. the baby).

Thanks for responding, Tyler will only eat Pate, and that I even have to mush up with my finger and water, why do they have to be so picky lol . I figured it would be almost the same as the FF Classic Chicken Pate , just less fat

When ever you find any of the canned food with low fat I would really like to know. Buddy's vet says his pancreas just can not tolerate the high fat foods and they have him on I/d Digestive Care dry & canned. That would be alright except the carbs are out of sight, I got his Dr.Esley's dry food out and started feeding him, so far that is all he has eaten today. I have given him some canned I/d Digestive Care (fat is 24.7 dry matter basis) but the carbs are high on this, but not as bad as the dry. His BG has been out of sight, I have not posted them because they were so high. Anyway, I am trying to feed him something else with low fat & less carbs.

These are new and why not on Dr. Lisa’s chart. Very similar to original Fancy Feast minus artificial colors. Not sure if less fat, you can look at labels side by side for original chicken and this one. I think it is mostly taking out artificial colors and flavors. It is also more expensive.

Thanks Julie , I thought it might be new, I emailed Purina and asked them for information

FYI, the FF chicken in broth that you mentioned on your first page is listed in the chart is the shredded chicken in those little trays. Really expensive, but I've used it as a topper when I had to entice eating. It's these: https://www.chewy.com/fancy-feast-purely-white-meat-chicken/dp/103807

Good luck!
Thanks Sandi Whispy is so darn adorable. I think it's so wonderful of you that you have adopted all of your kitties. The story about Henry, that sweet boy, I'm so glad you gave him a home. How can his owner just dump him like that. When I hear about people like that , I can't say what I would like to do to them on here. Then Whispy given up by his owners when he was diagnosed with diabetes, I'm so glad you adopted him @Sandi & Whisper

Thanks Sandy, Whispy is so darn adorable.

Thanks! Tyler is a cutie too, I've been meaning to tell you that he reminds me a lot of one of our other orange boys, Max. We have three orange boys right now: Whispy is medium-longish hair, Max has short hair with a little bit more white on his face than Tyler does, and Henry is a short haired tripod :joyful::joyful::joyful:

Thanks, I was reading about your kitties, do you have pictures of them all, would love to see them

You can't see detail of each one of the oranges here, but I so rarely get them all in the same place!

From The forefront is Henry who's missing that rear right leg, Whispy who was growing out a lion cut here, Max, and Molly our little bobtail calico sneaking in the back. Just missing our grey ones Mickey a tabby, and Sugar a Russian blue mix

Oh my God, I'm in Kittie heaven, They are sooo adorable, all of them. , We can sneak Tyler and Perry in with them. I have the biggest smile on my face looking at them.
I will keep in touch, going to give Perry some meds, he has kidney disease but he's doing fine, still stage 2 just had his blood work done. He also has seizures, but that's under control . Hasn't had one in about 6 months now. Have a good night and will talk soon

Wow, that's impressive, they are all even looking at you! Too gorgeous. Everyone has a touch of white on their face, too. Unusual markings on your grey (brown?) tabby. Very cool.

And your bed looks like ours... cat blankets on top of cat blankets on top of people blankets, and cat beds on top of people beds! Oh the things we do :)

It took six photos to get them looking at me. I must have made some noise to get them to all look. Good call on the bed arrangement :-) The photo is from four years ago and the two cats on the right have crossed the rainbow bridge (the orange one last October, a month shy of 21, and the black one almost four years ago, 8 months after being diagnosed with a growth in his bladder). The other two are healthy seven year olds who are now at a healthy weight and will be switched to wet food diet when the dry food is gone. Gypsy, the kidney + diabetes cat, was not around for this photo. I was never able to get all five in a single photo.
