yesterday...
Didn’t get much sleep last night & Nelli woke me up early . Let her outside and layed back down... fell hard asleep until 55 minutes past her AMPS, test! Showing signs of constipation this morning :( Went to LB, tried to poop no success. Gave 3ml Lactulose.

@Osha, @Sonia & Leo ... I t.h.i.n.k the Bupe might be constipating Nelli :(
God... I hope not. Bupe has been a huge quality of life blessing for Nelli.
I just hate the thought of giving her Lactulose everyday in order to keep the Bupe flowing :blackeye:
 
I wonder if giving her SEB every day would help too?
Nel not feeling good today.. Makes me concerned and sad :(

Ollie gets lactulose daily, miralax daily and last week pumpkin a few days also. And gets cisipride. Gotta keep them moving to prevent constipation.

:(... I try very hard not to give her a daily rx for constipation. I wonder to myself, do I try pumpkin and SEB... a little miralax before I (need to) go Lactulose daily :oops:
What is cisipride

I give 2.5 ml lactulose in the morning. I try to give at least 2 hour before or after food and meds. But food usually gets in before.

Miralax is 1/4 tsp with her PMPS meal. If I have to give pumpkin it's just a bit I don't measure in her pm +2 snack, only few times a week.

Cisipride (Rx) is 15-30 minutes before am and pm meals. It helps with motility (muscle contractions) to move stool down. it is suspected she has some nerve damage in her back end.

Ollie has been 13-13.5 lbs for over a year now.

To answer this. Ollie use to get pumpkin only. Then it wasn't enough so added miralax. That lasted for quite awhile. Amounts were up there. You have to play with doses until you get the results you want.
 
Bup constipates Bubba every time he's been on it. Do you use Miralax? I give it to Bubba AM and PM, just 1/4 tsp and it keeps him going. I also give 1/4 tsp of SEB mixed with 1/2 tsp of George's Aloe Vera Juice twice a day. I work it into his +3 meals each cycle. I got into the habit of that time frame as it was a few hours away from when I gave Forrest his thyroid meds. Remember, it needs to be given a few hours apart of meds as it can interfere with absorption.

Hi Krystina, I can't remember your feeding schedule, but you might try and feed some LC with that +4, it will keep Nelli surfing those greens :D she's probably hit nadir, maybe close to, but I can't see past July 14th on SS...maybe a temporary google sheets glitch?

I didn’t want to feed her bc of the constipation- her little belly has swelled quite up again :(
I just tested her at +6 and she hasn’t moved much- up tho not down.
