Oscar let me sleep last night, and had a nice day. Weird that his nadir was so high, and of course a dip at PMPS to keep me on my toes. Got the feeder last night and tested it out, scared the heck out of him the first time it rotated...feel bad, but so so funny.

Took Mona pup to the vet for allergy testing and a wonky leg...turns out she tore her ACL! Fun! Shes been prescribed "rest" with some pharma help.

Is it the Pet mate? It make so much noise, like an old rusty engine, I can't believe cats can ever get used to it lol. But well, i use it too. Will you put higher carbs in there for the night?

It is the pet mate. I cycled it a bunch of times in front of him so he could get used to the noise, the he watched me put his food in it. But by the time it rotated (10 minutes) he forgot and shot off the table.

I set it up today and he ate most of the food out of it, so I think he learned the noise=food, but I'll have to see how he reacts when I'm home.

I'm sticking with the low carb tonight unless I see some numbers that concern me. I'm not going to rely on the feeder just yet.

Poor Mona. I hope she heals quickly.
Poor Mona.

Poor Mona indeed. They prescribed a large dose of gabapentin and tramadol to help the pain and "keep her from being too active". I'm going to ease in on their dose recommendations so I don't have an incoherent pup off the bat. But I'm hoping we don't have to consider a $3k surgery at this point. Shes young and an active breed.
