AMPS = 265
I wanted to increase Ming's insulin this morning but I'm trying to be patient. But anyway, he will get an increase tonight if numbers are still high this AM cycle.
My parents went to the states for BC day yesterday (best way to celebrate our province's "birthday" is to leave it and go to the US haha!) and my mom saw the Relion and decided to buy it. It was $20 USD for 50 strips + glucometer. Then I opened the strips and saw them and remembered that they're the same strips the Akray uses! So now I have lots of strips for the Relion and another glucometer.
When Ming gets lower numbers again, I'm going to try the Relion and compare it to the Onetouch. I know I shouldn't compare but I'm just not confident yet and need to see how Relion performs in lower numbers. Then if I do decide to switch, I'll need to decide if it's worth driving down to the states to get strips and/or finding sources online to buy strips that are closer to home. I got the Akray strips delivered to a mailbox in the states the last time.
I am a creature of habit and change is hard sometimes
Some OT Ming things:
I spilled coffee on the floor and I usually keep a towel in the bucket I use to change my fish tank water and used it to wipe up the coffee. Then Ming decided to attack the towel and then proceed to sleep on it. Now he's been sleeping on it everyday and I don't have the heart to take it away even though it's dirty

It's okay, it was just a little bit of coffee, I tell myself...
My sister got a tattoo of Ming and her hamster!
vs. the real thing!
I'm getting a tattoo of Ming (again) in October from an artist that is really hard to book. She does great work and I am so honoured to be chosen! Her instagram is here if anyone's interested to see her pet portrait tattoos: https://www.instagram.com/kaiju.ink/?hl=en
