Myrtle has had some lovely 18 hour cycles as she has been too low for me to shoot a couple of times or because of my schedule.. However, this morning she is at 237 at +6. I won’t be home to either test or shoot for another 12 hours which will take her to +18 so it looks like she will spend the day a bit too high. I guess it wouldn’t be safe for me to shoot another small dose now at +6 ?

That's not a good idea. That could be dangerous.
I thought so - thanks. I have a feeling that last night may have been a fur shot but I won’t risk it, I suppose she’s been higher than 237 before. It’s also that because she spent a day low, if last night was a fur shot, she will have gone more than 36 hours without insulin - I’ll just test for ketones tonight

What is your "no shot" point? I haven't seen any really low preshot numbers on the spreadsheet. If you are around to monitor, you should be shooting some of those mid blues.

Here is the link to your last post here. We include those so people can easily see the history.

My no shot number is about 9.0 (164). I’m not around to monitor much and she has dropped down to 5 (90) before when I have shot higher numbers. I would much rather keep her safe than tightly regulated.

Next time you are around to monitor, you might want to try shooting down to 150. It would be a good chance to gather data. Cycles are flatter when you shoot lower. 90 (5) is not such a low number. It would be nice to keep her out of yellows and pinks. Is there anyone else in the house who can test?

Thanks but I’m curious - why shoot those blues around 150? I would consider her pretty well regulated mainly in blues, the occasional yellow and the very rare pink? What am I trying to achieve by getting her under 5 (90)?
