Ollie doing well this morning. Seems to have an extra loud purr going on. Ate both snacks overnight.

Sprayed the wasps nest last night. It suppose to kill on contact, there seems to be just as many and active this morning. I was able to turn the reel, now opening is on top, I wonder if pouring boiling water on it would do it. I can do that from the standing over it on the deck and pour through the slates. A whole huge pot I use for canning of boiling water.

I love extra loud purrs! Are you free-feeding or is she using the microchip feeder?
How is your DH?
Please be careful with those wasps!

Nice report for Ollie! Purrs are the best!:cat:

Yikes on the wasps!! Those are some nasty, mean bugs! I hope you can get rid of them safely.

Sending vines to your DH. :bighug:

Wasps are a beneficial insect, since they eat some harmful bugs and pollinate plants.
Why don't you just move the entire reel at night when the wasps aren't active? When the cold weather comes they all die .

It's mounted to the deck by previous owner. The screws are all rusted. If husband would have left the hose on it, we would have robins nest instead, they build there every year. It was fun watching the Robins year after year.

Using the micro feeder. I put her allotted food in it at feeding times and then she can access it. Sometimes she eats all immediately sometimes she grazes. Must say she seemed to be satisfied when at motel when I filled 4 times a day, but at home she went right back to every 3 or less hours of wanting food down.

Ollive is looking good! Hope your DH is being a good patient! Good luck with the wasps! They love our front porch, we have battled them for years!
