Hi.

I fed Butternut at 79 because he was asking for food. Should I allow him to coast downward to see if he earns a reduction? With food, or without extra food if he isn't asking? He hasn't even hit his usual nadir hour yet. I don't want a repeat of yesterday - lime green 30's - where he was slow to respond to everything he ingested.

Or, since he's done so well today and last night, feed him till the slide levels off and let him coast in whatever color he chooses?
 
He appears to be surfing in the green while he sleeps. A walk at these numbers would crash him though. :facepalm:

and it seems he's responded well to the 3% food I gave him at 79, so good improvement over yesterdays lime event. :cool:

A rule of thumb is to feed a tsp or two of LC when they first hit greens, to try to encourage a green surf. Continue feeding every hour or so as long as the surf (hanging in green numbers) continues. He’s looking good so far. :D

That's exactly what I did but only once so far. I'll offer food again.

It's the morning walk that put him in green. extra movement has been player in all the lime events so "exercise" is good for him but he needs to be fueled for it too, until his body knows how to deal. His morning food had a bit of carb food added to raw. I think he needs it.
