Blood on needle after shot

Hello,
I haven't been on here in a while because things have been going smoothly. However - I just did Smokeys 10pm shot and and I ended up with blood on the needle when I pulled it out. Looking back I know it's because I didnt tent it enough and not at the right angle ( it's been getting harder because hes loosing weight). I feel like I went too deep . What do I do ???

Probably just nicked a capillary....it happens to all of us.

You can get an early test in if you're worried that you got it into a vein but I seriously doubt it. The needles are so short and are designed to go into the sub-q space

You can remove the 911 now …..if you need us again, you can put it back up!

It's okay, you just nicked a capillary, we call them blood shots. I have had a few, freaked the first time, nothing will happen. You can take down the 911 :)

What's considered an early test ? +2? +3?

It would be helpful to keep it up. Maybe take some time to fill it out again with the new data :)

If you’re seeing yellows all the time, then a new dose might be considered. But I’m hesitant to recommend anything without more data.

Hes always in yellow at pre shot and around +5 or +6 in the high 100s . I'm going to get back on track with putting it in my chart

His +2 is 215 .. do I need to be concerned anymore ?

Hi Julie, sorry I went MIA last night. Did you manage to get a +4?

Let us know when you're done filling up your SS so we can take a look at Smokey's dose.

What is the danger of getting insulin into a vein? What would happen? BG going too low? Just so those of us following along can be aware. Thanks!
