Oh yes there are cats that get constipated. It seems to be a common problem around here. I have no idea why although unregulated diabetics pee more so perhaps it's that extra urine output that causes it.
The Restoralax isn't a laxative per se. It's more of a stool softener that draws water into the bowel to soften the stool so extra water in the food will be needed to compensate. There are lots of kitties using it here with no ill effects. Too much could potentially cause stool to get too soft (diarrhea) but I think you'd have to be giving a fair bit to have things turn around that much. It's tasteless and can just be mixed into food.

. I remained calm I printed off the sticky Bron had created. Created a 911 help just in case. But no one responded until a few hours later which was Bron.
