Happy Monday! (If that's possible)

I need to thank
@Sienne and Gabby (GA) @Wendy&Neko and everyone who advised me about increasing Phoebe Squeak's insulin dose. I was ready to raise her dose based on high AM numbers even though her PM numbers were lower, but I was told I needed more PM data to figure out why she was having the "bouncelets" (Wendy's word) during the day, before I made a decision.

Boy were they right!!! I planned on raising her dose this AM after one more night of gathering data, but at PM +4 last night she dropped down to 63 on AT2 meter. I retested right away and got 61, so I went to work bringing her up with food and we had a very late night PJ party.

I think this turns out to be one of those situations I've read about here --

Sometimes too much insulin can look like too little.

According to TR protocol, she needs to have a reduction, not an increase. I was very surprised! But I'm so grateful to the wise ones who strongly advised more data!
Thank you!!
First shot at reduced dose of 1.5 was this AM. :cat:

Having a kitty who started the day in the 400s, dropped to the 40s and then was back in the 400s by PMPS taught me a great deal. Without that mid-cycle test, I would have increased Gabby's dose vs her needing a reduction. Great job!
WOW! Gabby must be one of Phoebe Squeak's idols -- that's some serious bouncing. Thanks again for your incredibly valuable help!

Good catch last night. Neko loved to do her lows at night. For three months straight she dove at night (earning reductions in the wee hours), then bounced during the day. Drove me batty! I tried everything, finally switched to Levemir and it helped a little, because it flattened her out and made her more predictable.

Sometimes too much insulin can look like too little.
That's mostly an old wives tale. The "sometimes" when it's true is when kitty was started on too high a dose, or dose increases were too large/too fast or made without proper data. Fortunately, none of those true with Phoebe Squeak.

Thanks for sharing your experience with Neko. It does sound like Phoebe Squeak is following in her bounce-steps. I will keep Levemir in mind if this pattern continues.
But I am now a bit confused, so I'm hoping you can clarify -- I was going to increase Phoebe Squeak's dose because based on the numbers I was getting during the day, it looked like she needed more insulin. Then you & others told me to get more PM data and when I did, it showed that she was going too low at night so she actually needed a reduction, meaning she was getting too much insulin, but during the day it looked like too little. That's what I meant by too much looking like too little.
