There are some diabetes, etc. related veterinary clinical trials they have at Texas A&M. I was wanting to see if there were any relevant trials that might apply to Alice’s cancer, but there are not. However, perhaps some of these might be of interest to the research-minded type. :)

Evaluation of byduraeon in sugar cats in remission?
Treatment trial for cats with chronic pancreatitis?

Just a note: they are AMAZING about responding to inquiries. I've emailed 2 different experts there. One was about a study, but my T didn't fit the criteria & another was re: a consult with a different specialist/pancreatic expert. Both vets responded back to me promptly. They will not do actual clinical consults directly with owners however, they will do them directly with your vet. My vet just had to call & arrange to speak with the specific specialist. He was actually able to speak to the doc the same day he called & get helpful advice to guide our treatment decision.

Thanks! What is their cost for consult? We already get DCIN assistance. But I really would love to know if her cancer is lingering or not. Cornell’s webpage on feline mammary tumors recommended chemo etc, and.... there’s just no option for me besides cutting things out and hoping for the best, currently.

Off topic, but I do enjoy leaving random cat pictures about...

I wish I had info re: Texas A&M re: cancer, but I'm not sure about the consults re: cancer. They are a leading group for gastrointestinal disorders & even labs done from other universities are sent there. They also happen to have some leading pancreatic specialists. I have no idea about other specialties there :(.
