Jerry looks like he's getting the idea again. What a beautiful boy you have there! Love black catsHave a great day Deirdre
No worries at all....there are always questions throughout the process. No Marje, I have continued to feed him at +9 although last night it was more like + 8:30 as I was awake and needed to get back to bed. I think I understand, I fed him yesterday at +9 and he had a much lower PMPS, fed him again at +8:30 last night and his AMPS was lower (not really sure on that one) than the AMPS of 6/26. Just given him a snack at +9 for today's (6/27) cycle so will see what his PMPS is today.
So if I'm understanding you correctly and looking at Jerry's numbers his pancreas is working? right?
I'm sorry for so many questions, I feel like I did when I started out on this FD journey.. clueless and fumbling. Thank you for your patience.![]()
I will certainly try, don't like to put the alarm on for the night feed as it disturbs the DH as well and we both are having problems sleeping these days. I don't sleep properly anyway so I'm mostly awake at some point in the night. I will continue to get the data before his snack as we can see what it is doing for him.No worries at all....there are always questions throughout the process.
So, I’d say that 160 something number was just an odd number out. I’d continue to give him those +8.5 or +9 feedings. The data you have today that his BG went up to 111 will help us determine if his pancreas is working vs a possible second dip from the insulin. Any time you can get a +9 test in the day cycle before you feed him will give us more data. If you can get a before bed test at night or if you are up before you feed that +8.5 or +9 meal, it will also help us see if he’s climbing towards the end of his cycle and the pancreas is kicking in after the meal to help bring him down.
Paws crossed.
Hoping for Jerry!I hope his pancreas is getting some healing time and gets back to semi normal. What we all hope for, but I am so grateful that he is at least on such a small dose and has close to normal BG numbers.

I know I am very lucky to have her get me through this. I thought getting the testing, dosing etc. was the learning curve and now I have another learning curve... oh my brain hurts.Hoping for Jerry!
I'm taking notes for Ti-Mousse, one day maybe he'll be there !!! Marje is a very knowledgeable person; it's always interesting to read her!

I understand about the sleeping so do what you can. Sleep is more important than this little experiment!I will certainly try, don't like to put the alarm on for the night feed as it disturbs the DH as well and we both are having problems sleeping these days. I've been thinking about the 160 and I can only think that perhaps he found a lost temptation treat that his brother lost at treat time. Jerry gets the pure bites and Benny gets the temptations. I'm usually careful when Benny loses one but may have missed it. He likes to Bat them and then run and catch them, Jerry just waits until I put them down in front of him (much more dignified). LOL
