AMPS 257 shooting 3.5u
Figures he would save the bounce for the day I'm going to be at home instead of doing it yesterday or tomorrow when we would like to go away :rolleyes:

Boomer ate all of his food overnight and called me for more at 4:30. Last night at +3 I scooped his auto feeder meals out onto plates hoping he would eat on his own. Guess he was extra hungry last night.

Today it's supposed to be rainy all day so it will be an indoor chore type day although I do have to go to Walmart for test strips.

Today's photo is of an Eastern Bluebird. I saw very few Bluebirds until this spring....then they installed a bunch of nesting boxes at Saunders Pond and the Bluebirds have come and stayed! YAY!

Hubby and I *love* your photos, they're the first post I actively look for every morning! I save them as my screensaver slideshow, makes me smile all through the day...Thank *you* for that!

Boomer, eat your fuds and come on down to the lagoon.

Judy, love the bluebird photo. We have been lucky enough to have 2 different families of bluebirds next in an empty hanging gourd right under my porch roof! That is really unusual as they usually don't nest to close to humans and the boxes that you saw hung at the pond need to be a certain height, etc. They are a lot of fun to watch and I love how they fly low to the ground and in a straight line. They are fastidious housekeepers and leave the next spotless! They gather up all the debris inside and take it with them in a makeshift hobo type sack. ( unlike other nesting messy birds we have hosted)

There are certain things that you can plant on your property which draw them in. One that comes to mind is Sumac and I believe Witch Hazel. I just love Bluebirds!

Thanks Bobbie! I love Bluebirds too; they remained elusive to me until this spring and now I see them almost every time I go to Saunders Pond.
 
Their favorite meal is meal worms. Loved having them here. There is a data site that tracks them as at one point they were becoming endangered or at least more rare in their habitat area (east coast). I participated the few years we had them here. You charted seeing them, how many eggs, what hatched, their growth, when they fledge, if another clutch was started, etc.
 
Boomer! come down from the trees!!

I don't think I ever saw a Blue bird before actually, beautiful. It reminds me a bit of a robin... but blue :)
