Good Morning L, B, & L ~

Bubba had to return to the vets on Monday as he was acting as if his mouth was sore, and sure enough, an infection at the extraction site of the molar. He wasn't put on an AB post operative and I was too much in a fog after Forrest's passing to realize just how important it was with a diabetic cat. He's on one now and doing a bit better but, he's not tip top yet. I do believe he is still uncomfortable. I don't want to do the bup because it constipates him so and he's borderline now. So, I have been giving him traumeel.

I have two food safes that I will gladly donate to someone in need. One is a Petsafe 5 ( 5 food compartments) and the other one is a feeder to be use with a chip. Osha's mom sent to me and she has giving me her blessings to donate.

Also, I have 65 days worth of Methimazole 5 mgs for someone in need.

Please PM me if you are interested.

What antibiotic is Bubba getting? Hope that infection clears up fast! :):bighug:

Awe poor Bubba, I hope he gets better soon :)

Infections can come on so fast, It’s awesome you caught it before it became bad. You caught it quickly so don’t beat yourself up :)

Heal safely Bubba :bighug:

The Petsafe 5 is for dry food only... No ice pack option.
It doesn't come with one but there is a space for a small one under the tray. I never used an ice pack with Gizmo because the wet food was only in about 6 hours but I did use it a few weeks ago for Frankie when we went out of town overnight. I put the wet food in ramekins (porcelain, which holds cold too) and froze them (except for the food I left available) and put the ice pack underneath.

Frankie ate all the food and survived

The ice packs I have were used to ship temp sensitive meds for Gizmo (epogen). I have probably 30 or so. I can send you a couple if you decide to try the feeder - just shoot me a PM.

@Lizzie's Mom and @Bellasmom , the pet safe is fine for wet food. There is an indentation in the base for an ice pack. I used it for raw food. I told Jamie I would give her the link for the ice paks that fits into the indentation.

If they fit that is great,
The fit. I have to push one long side against the side of the freezer or melt one side just slightly. If frozen completely flat it is about 1/4" too wide.

They were free and food quality so that's why I kept them. They are a PITA because there are so many and they don't stack so are stashed in a plastic bag and fall out every time I move the bag but also nice to get meat home from grocer store in 90+° :p
