? What is the no shot number?

Julie, I am unable to advise on a no shoot number, sorry.
I took a look at your spreadsheet and see that it's calibrated to the pet meter and no BG test data since 6/2. Even if you are using a human meter now you can still enter the BG test data, just indicate the meter change. That data can then be reviewed by the members so they have some background for advice. Then, later you can ask for some help on adjusting the spreadsheet.
There is information about shooting lower numbers here:

but we don't know what Smokey's current numbers are. Please fill in that info so they have the information to date.

ok, I do see the current data on the spreadsheet now. Thank you. You should get some responses from experienced members soon. :)

Since you are pretty new probably 150 would be your no shot number. As you collect more data you can, owner the number. When you get a chance please add SLGS to your signature.

Ideally, the no shot number changes as you become more experienced with handling your cat's diabetes. For example, we suggest that if you're following TR, if your pre-shot number is 150 or below, post and ask for help. Ultimately, those following TR will shoot any number above 50. With SLGS, the ranges are a little higher. If numbers are below 200, post and ask for help. You will want to work your way down to the 50 - 90 range as a no shot number. While it's completely counterintuitive, shooting low can result in a flat cycle vs a big drop in numbers. You want to accumulate enough data on how your cat responds to Lantus that you are "data ready" and prepared to shoot progressively lower numbers as well as are confident in how to feed the cycle and steer numbers should they drop. While this post is geared to TR, it's helpful to be familiar with becoming data ready and thinking about low numbers.
