URGENT: in need of temporary foster or perm rehome for Mr Rumps ASAP (Dallas Texas)

hello all, I am in desperate need of help for my sweet boy. I cannot keep him and have tried local rescues and fosters. I am in the Dallas Texas area. Can drive to you if you’re close enough.

I am running out of time. A temporary foster home would be amazing. If you know anyone at all please message me.

I'm sorry I don't have any connections in TX. =( hopefully you get some luck with the rescues. I've done the whole two-jobs with a diabetic game and its so draining when you're already drained. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
So I am about 3-4 hours from you straight on I-35... I would offer to take him but he would be relegated to a spare room because the main household cats have feline herpes, and I still wouldn’t be able to personally afford his care as I already receive DCIN help for Alice. So it could be an option but not an ideal one necessarily????

I am going to post and try to add you to my cat group on fb and see if we can find a Dallas person there, as there are many Texans there who LOVE their cats.
 
Right now we're scrambling to figure out where to set up an intro area for him. The area we used for Dakota years ago has been repurposed...repeatedly. :) May have to combine little doggie bedrooms for a couple of weeks - THEY would love that but no one will get much sleep including the Beans. They're separated because they'd rather play than sleep when all 6 are together.
 
...AND.....I have added him to my signature! I could even add (GA) behind Doc's name without losing it...well, not too bad. I still haven't ever updated KT's profile but left it there as it's sort of fun to read. :)

Rumps is on Lantus right now but I'll change him to Levemir when intros are complete and he's comfortable...my signature states Lev.

I just want to say Shelly has done such a good job getting Rumpy in good numbers and I am happy he will be in good hands with Lyresa and Shelly won’t have to worry and will be able to check on him and know he is with a good home. Tried to finish typing without crying, did not make it.

Thanks to Shelly who asked for help to find a safe and loving home for her little boy! :bighug: and to Lyresa who, with her big heart, adopted him ! :bighug:

This little boy doesn't know how much worry he gave us and how lucky he is..! Happy life to come! :joyful:

Shelly did an amazing job, and not everyone would take on the challenge, and not everyone would ask for help when the challenge was bigger than life allowed space for. :bighug:
I’m really glad you have somewhere good for him to go. :)

Lyresa, wondering how far away you are if you need any help with anything.... Some days I can get away. Did not know we were neighbors ish! Welcome Rumpy!!! :D

I love a happy ending. Congratulations @Squeaky and KT (GA) on your new baby! Shelly, I’m sure you are relieved to have a great home for Rumpy, but sad to have to give him up. You obviously love him very much. It takes a great kitty mom to do this for Rumpy even though it hurts.
 
Rumpy you are the luckiest kitty!!! From your loving home with Shelly to your new home with Lyresa! What a beautiful start to a new chapter in your life!

Shelly, you took such good care of Rumpy and I can just imagine how much it must hurt to have to give up your sweet kitty but at least you know he’s going to another loving home.

Oh that's WONDERFUL!!! I got sick again and then a tornado hit my area so I was out of it for awhile - I got my PM's first and replied, but now that I see this, this is AMAZING news, congratulations, I wish you all the best - I'm just sorry I got sidelined because Mr. sounds like one fine kitty!! xxxx
