s'ok Bron, you needed some sleep. How did you know I was still in my jammies? ;) I have been monitoring this thread and the other. But I need to go make Idjit some food, he's almost out of his raw and I didn't want to be away too long. BBL
 
I’m just awake and first thing I did was get my phone and check for pregress.
Shelly why don’t you start up that rehoming thread again and see if someone will foster Rumpy if you can’t find a permanent home right now and if time is running out and it sounds like it is. We all want to see Rumpy resettled. Put urgent in the subject line. Please don’t do anything drastic.
 
Shelly, I would be calling/texting/emailing every pet rescue organization I could find in Dallas, if you are on FB, let all the friends know and ask them to pass the request on, same for coworkers, family and friends in the area. There's gotta be someone out there with a big enough heart to help you and Rumpy.

I have done all of those things for the past month and haven’t had any luck. All of my friends are college aged or personal trainers like me and don’t have the schedule or support around to care for him the way he needs. All no kill rescues are at capacity. And many fosters didn’t even call or email back.
 
I saw the thread in the main forum. I’d do one on the L and L one as well.
I agree with Chris about the dose tonight. I’d give a reduced dose as well like 1.5 units. You will still need to test but hopefully he won’t drop as low and it will drain the depot.

Oh my dear I am so sorry, but there is still a little bit of time. Keep hoping and trying, you never know what's around the corner.

This would all be easier and I would have more time if I had help actually here with me. I’ve missed so much work I’m unsure if I can even pay my bills.
 
If I had a million it would be taken care of, and if Idjit wasn't such an idjit and anti-all other animals, I would take Rumpy. I do hope something good happens, and Shelly, this seems really awful right now, but you are going to get through it. Wiser & stronger, you couldn't be any more loving so I won't add that. If it has to come to helping Rumpy cross over, that is a better choice than letting him be scared, sick and suffering, and possibly mistreated, abused or neglected. I hope you are not offended. Heartbreak, fear and worry are part of life, unfortunately, but so is joy, love and giving of yourself. You excel at the latter.

Earlier Chris suggested: Might want to only give something like 1.5 or 2U tonight and then return to the 3U dose tomorrow
 
ok, here's hoping for a peaceful night. Now, Shelly, I am an old person, a very very old person, and don't stay up late. So no jammie parties tonight, or Bron will have to don her flap bottom one piece red flannel jammies and stay up with you.

1.5 was good to drain the depot a bit more. I’ll be back online a bit later. I’d get a +2 and see where he’s at. I’ll watch for it.

I have something that I need to go to but am afraid to leave. I wouldn't be back until at least +6.
He didn’t finish all of his food earlier because I think he’s stuffed from all the feeding.
 
Then leave out some higher carb food for him so he can eat if he drops lower. Leave out a couple of types of food for him. What time are you going out ?
