Mowgli is doing well today! For his PMPS I tried a side shot like Lyresa in hopes for better absorption.

Do you guys have tips on how to shoot on a cats side. I don’t think Mowgli likes it .... he doesn’t even notice when I shoot in the scruff but he kind of flinched when I tried his side.

I am! It’s my favourite way to trick him!

When I dose on his side He kind of jumps to the side like it bothered him. I think I like the scruff because there is so much to work with. Do you still use the “tenting” method on the side? Or do you do something differently? I can definitely tell the way I did it bothered him
 
Yes still use the tenting methods in the side. If you hit the muscle at all, that will make them object.
I never used the scruff. Always other sites.
Try a few times in different spots, always tenting

I’ll try again tomorrow while he’s really into his breakfast ;) for now I can already tell he’s having good absorption from the side, he’s qualified for a reduction tonight! Hopefully this time on 0.75u goes better than last time :)

I’ll be sticking around a bit to test in 0.5hrs to make sure he isn’t bottoming out :confused:
 
Since 6 days, I've been shooting sides (front or back) instead of scruff with so much improvement in numbers!
This is not where they prefer so you have to really be gentle and find a compromise as to where it's less annoying for them... ;
from my experience:
you do have to tent;
front sides are easier that back!
right and left sides are different; If you have trouble shooting Front RIGHT, you could have no problems with Front LEFT.
ECID, make sure you write where you shoot and you might be able to develop a successful pattern!

Mowgli will approve or not ....

Thanks Lyane! I’m just about to try at +5.5 to see if he’s surfing green or diving haha. Looks like the side is definitely absorbed better :eek::D
