Where did my lazy cats go?

3 cats that usually just lay around on the bed or in the window are all in the living room. I got out the tunnels and teasers and had a blast with them. Buddy is alert and active today and so are the girls. They've ate the best today too.. licking the bowls clean. Just a few days of wet foods and off of dry has changed my cats. Buddy who was diagnosed with diabetes on Monday has had normal numbers the past few days just from the food change alone. Please wish my buddy (almost 6) and the girls (almost 7 and 8) well.. I want to keep them around for many years to come.
I posted this in the Prozinc section but decided to also post it here in the main health because I think it's important that everyone see what changing to low carb wet food can do!

wow, what pleasure to see a spreadsheet like that!! hope it stays like that for a long time for you!
I never used to give my cat dry food, then he was diagnosed and the first thing the vet did, prescribed the diabetic dry food, I was like, whaaa'? coz Puss never ever had dry food (I'd read an article on how some manufacturers throw in dead pets, collars, the dirt off the floor at the end of the day, into the pot it's being made in; I'll see if I can find the article and post it), so he was on that for a few weeks, until I found this forum.

So, all the best to you and your catz!

Wow, I've never heard that those gross things are in dry food, ewww.. just horrible! I hope Buddy's spreadsheet continues to show the normal numbers. I'm so nervous every time I'm waiting for those numbers to pop up after a test. Thank you!

@Galaxy I see you mentioned your cat was always on wet food before. Was it low carb wet food? I think the lower carbs are really making the difference for my boy.

No, I had been giving him raw chicken and commercial wet food from the shops, any wet food, before his diagnosis - that probably also contributed to his diabetes. Then came the dry diabetic for a few weeks, then found the forum; since then it's only been raw chicken and wet food bought online from Zooplus, choice based on the food list I found on this forum.
