? Giving Insulin Advice

let me see if I can remember and describe what to do -- first of all go to your original posting of this thread
click on it
look over near the right side and see something like "Thread tools"
click on it
that should bring up your title -- the 911 should have a small carat ^ under it, click on that, should give you options of what to replace the 911 with
after that you can backspace over your thread title, or set your cursor in the middle of it and type what you want

hope this is the right step by step, I had to do it a couple of times, if I missed something, remember I'm blonde ...

Hey Candy, I didn't put it in the title, I only put it in the message trying to tell the last
Person who answered the woman that needed help.under her title
I put it in conversation not a new post

it's fixed anyway, see the post following yours ... reacted too quickly and didn't read whole thread, so who knows who did what .. :)

Yes I see , but the person wanted me to delete it in my conversation that I started to
someone, it was in the message part, not in the title. I tried to delete the
Whole conversation but I can't, I give up lol

not your kuleana (responsibility/burden) -- seems to me the posting requesting the change, was referring to original poster's title, not the subsequent posting you did
so now, if you ever have to fix your own thread title, you know how to do it
if it's been awhile and you're uncertain, I found the instructions (later) in the Announcements or Suggestions/Testing Forums
at least I was in the ballpark :smuggrin:

Yes she was, I said it wasn't my title, I'm not going to worry about it. So did
I get it right on how to tag people, example If I start a new title, right after
it that's when I put the @ and the person's name

When one is trying to pull low BG numbers up, adding water will only serve to dilute the contents. Instead, it's better to open the can of medium or high carb food and use the lid to squeeze out the gravy of the higher carb food.

If you don't have any medium or high carb foods, you can add a couple drops of karo, honey, agave, or maple syrup to a few bites of low carb canned food.
Some other options:
  • glucose gel packets
  • cake food icing gel
  • vanilla ice cream
  • high carb dry food
  • cat treats (temptations or pill pockets usually work)
Be prepared. Put together a Hypo Tool Box in case you ever need it!
 
So I just checked her BG and it is 231 and this is 6 hours after pm shot. Is it possible the honey is still causing this high number? Anyways, I want to start finding her nadir or curve so I can be better at this.

How long does it take a cat to become regulated? I feed 1/2 can friskies pate in the morning and 1/2 can at night 12 hours apart and at the 5-6 hour mark I feed 1/4 can friskies pate. Am I overfeeding her?

When you have a few minutes, it'll help if you'll go ahead and fill in your Signature information. If you look for your sign on name at the top right of the page, you can click there and the option of "Signature" should pop up. Click there and a new box will open up for you to enter information

We like to see Your name/Cat's name, age, sex, date of diagnosis, type of insulin, type of meter, type of food, any other health issues or medications? and a general idea of where you live.

That way we don't have to keep asking the same questions over and over.

Once you have your spreadsheet set up, the link to your spreadsheet goes into your signature too. We're very data driven here so we really need that spreadsheet.

Here are the Directions on setting up the FDMB spreadsheet but if you have any problem, feel free to send me a Private Message and I'll help you out. Just click on my sign on name and choose "Start Conversation" so I can get some info from you. I'm happy to do it!!

That's probably a good amount of food. Six hours later, no that honey had worn off.
