There is an intense thunderstorm happening right now. The thunder is loud, so all 3 kitties are freaking out. (Raptor in particular lol).

He has had a MC snack after all of these tests... hopefully he'll be up at the 5.5 so I dont have to open a different can of food

This is drop #1 under 50 on this dose.

Hi. I just saw your tag. I hope that wasn't 5mg each dose! If so, don't wait to cut it down. I've heard too many horror stories about cats being started on 5mg/dose (10 mg a day) and dying a few days later. I don't mean to scare you, but this medicine is very strong. The recommended dose in Plumb's (vet book) is now 1.25mg a dose or 2.5 mg a day.

Please do post those thyroid numbers. I want to see what high means to your vet.

Gordy's looking good with insulin nowadays.

This worries me =/ I want to trust my vet with her dosing and not change it without talking to her... but its really hard to not be nervous.

You are the owner. You make the decisions. I'm saying the same things people would say in the group that was recommended for you to join. That group deals with thousands of cats compared to maybe hundreds your vet has seen. They have more knowledge.

If you are worried about not following your vet's advice, you are not the only one. Just look at all of us in here! What you could do is change the dosage, wait 3 weeks on that dosage then do the test. Not 2 weeks, not 1 week. 3-4 weeks. Do the test 4-6 hours after the last dose.

I wanted to get more tests in, but he has decided to snooze under the bed and is a pain to convince him to come out... But least he back above 50.

I am waiting on approval for the group pages.
