5/4 Honey AMPS 326, +6 355

Well that was a first, I took her blood test, she’s napping as usual, and she did not even wake up when I stuck her. She woke up a few minutes later, looking at me like “did I miss something, mom?” Then went back to sleep. Made me laugh.

Using Insulinx strips today, tested lower than AT strips, have not been able to figure proper code yet, so today’s numbers I would say will likely be somewhat lower than actual.
Hi Julie, how much lower? Remember all BG monitors can be off by 20%. Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought people who were using FSL or Insulinx strips just kept their AT2 at the previous code set with AT2 strips, no need to try and find a better code? Glad she is getting so used to the pokies now :)

ETA I see it is in your notes  with BG 326, as an example, an allowable meter tolerance would be 261-391. So, that said, I'd suggest you watch for patterns, which are more important than one number on its own. And if I can also make another suggestion... a last mid cycle, or before bed in pm would be good, since I think as you know, many kitties like to drop lower at night. She could be getting lower, then bouncing during the day

Last batch of strips was between 3-15 variance these are a lot more so I am not comfortable with a higher variance, can’t code figure better code until I get more AT strips. Was planning on getting night as soon as she was on the dose for a few days and wasn’t bouncing.
