Hello everyone!
Maury enjoyed some nice time in remission but we're doing a slow sugar dance again :p. Hopefully, it was caught early enough and he seems to be responding well to the low dose. I'll be peeking about again :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi there and welcome back! Nice to see you peeking about again :), I remember you helping me with a few late night shenanigans when I first started off with Maverick's dance 2 years or so ago :D. Sorry to hear that Maury is back on the juice, hoping he only needs some extra help for a little while.

Sorry to hear you’re back on the juice, but glad the low dose is working! We also enjoyed a 9-year hiatus, but we’re back as well. :bighug:

I'm thankful he got some time in remission. I really didn't think he had a chance with where we started lol. I feel a little bad that I never gave his ears much of a break and still tested him everyday .

If you hadn’t tho, you wouldn’t have known he was out of remission. Don’t beat yourself up over it!

Hi Yong, sorry that Maury wanted some more time here. Do you know what caused him to lose remission?
Just seems like his pancreas wanted to take another vacation :joyful:. I have some time off between jobs right now so I plan on getting him to the Vet just for a checkup to be sure nothing else is going on. He resorbed another incisor but otherwise his teeth look good :). Bubba's looking nice! What kind of egg is he getting sometimes? Raw, cooked, or powdered? Maury likes egg, could be a new treat for him :bookworm:.

You are probably onto something with the teeth. Any time Bubba had another resorbtion lesion, his numbers soared and he was in pain and stopped eating ( which is how I knew something was wrong).

Bubba get eggs every 3 days as part of his protein rotation, ( today's the day). I hard boil them. He gets 1/2 of egg diced up and smashed like I am making egg salad, and I add the ez complete to it to make it a complete meal for him. He need 3 eggs a day for his weight to get his required calories. I dole the 1/2 eggs out over 6 meals a day, three in each cycle.

He did not like scrambled egg. And a raw egg occasionally is okay but over time can cause problems. When raw, there’s a protein called avidin in them that can bind the essential vitamin biotin also know as B7 , so cats are unable to absorb it.

Oh ok! Never tried hard boiled but when I make myself scrambled eggs, Maury will be interested in a couple pieces, especially if I have cheese. OMG this boy enjoys his meats but he loves milk and cheese! Such a cheesy kitty . I have to hold my cup of milk if I have one because if I sit it down, his face is all in it

Hiya Yong! I'm both so happy to see you (it's been a while!) and sad to see Maury needs to be back on the juice. Good call on getting him into the vet. I hope he only needs a little bit of help and his pancreas reports back for duty swiftly! He's definitely reacting well so far.
