I'm about the 7th house from the Rivière-du-Nord; the first 3-4 houses are flooded but my street has a little hill and fortunately I'm on top of it... so we should be OK! All bridges around are closed and the main road to get to the highway is also closed. I had to make a long... detour to go for my hair this morning.
Unfortunately, my daughter's house is starting to be flooded..:eek::( the most important things she had downstairs were brought to the 1st floor; sand bags all around and extra pumps ! Now, we're waiting when she needs help: strong arms, extra pumps and suppers! In 2017 she was flooded and it was the first time as per archives it happened in 70 years ... and again this year, poor kid!!
The cute thing is my 3 1/2 yo grandson wearing his rubber boots and helping carying stuff!!
 
Wow, glad you're ok but so sorry about your daughter, I hope the sandbags work. My sister told me people on the South Shore I think, are opening their basement windows and letting the water flow in as opposed to in their front doors. It's so sad.
