She had a lower PMPS than I’m used to but I gave her 0.75u still. I’m making a thread just in case I need support through the night!! I’m able to monitor overnight as needed really so we will see! Hopefully she just rides a nice gentle curve and might even begin to settle in to these lower numbers more. But just as likely she’s gonna bounce cos she has been lower and she likes to do that. *facepalm*
 
Ok, so I actually made this thread a couple of weeks ago, but nothing came of it so there were no replies and it fell off the first page.

Now I am in the EXACT same space again so I have just edited the title to be today, and posting this reply as a bump. Lol!

Now, when looking at her spreadsheet you can pretty much ignore all those crazy high numbers the past week, as that was me attempting to placate my vet and just damn well trialling the prescription dry food.... but of course it had her skyrocket consistently for every day she had it, and now she is coming down off that having switched back to wet food. And tonight we have her lowest level that I’ve still shot, so let’s see what she does!
 
Oh, and for the sake of not having to read the spreadsheet, Jazz was diagnosed with pancreatitis a couple of weeks ago, with a fPL level of 22. She was clinically fine at the time but had a flare up that weekend. She spent a couple of days at the vets for treatment then as I wasn’t in the space to figure everything out right then and had work etc so that’s what we went with. Those days are marked on her spreadsheet.

She then had a few days of mucked up shots because they did her shots at a different time in the vets and we had a day we all left the house early and blah blah blah. Messy.

Then the prescription dry food that was ordered in arrived. I KNOW its no good! I know I know. The vet was ok with my food but then after the pancreatitis stuff my vet really wanted to try it. I admit I had some morbid curiosity as to exactly what effect it would have. And her numbers of all 400-500 for those five days speak volumes. Even more telling is the fact she’s down at 137 only 48 hours after stopping that food too of course....

I am quietly waiting for my vet to see that change and realise what it means. Maybe she will believe me more now, and maybe she will begin to question that food.... one can only hope!

Now I am hoping she doesn’t go too low tonight, but it will be what it will be and I will just monitor her as needed.
 
+1 is up now, probably food influenced too, so will get a +2 and probably a +4 still and see how she goes from there.

Hi Amy, haven’t seen you for a while. Good to see a post. On my goodness. I just looked at the SS.... if your vet can’t see what the dry food has done to the numbers she would have to be blind or in denial! I’m glad you pulled the plug on that! It will be interesting to see if the vet says it is something else and not the dry food.

Oh it’s all good, we have had many replies in the posts I needed it! And it can be busy and others need support far more, so my cautionary posts don’t need followed up when her bounces kick in really. Haha

I know right!!! Those numbers are sooooooo clear! I’m sorta glad I did those five days of dry just to have that clear proof of what it damn well does to her! Sheesh!
 
Oh, and as for her numbers, I didn’t bother getting another reading after the +2, as that was coming up and she was just gonna bounce high. Sure enough she’s in the pink this morning with an hour until her AMPS.

At least I’m not getting as worried about shooting the lower numbers now as long as she’s been coming up, I know she’s bouncing so can maintain her dosage!
 
Even worse with that dry food, is that her body has forgotten how good blues feel, Blame the bounce on dry too.
