Bear 4-16/AMPS 349/+1.75 304/+3.25 224/+7.5 306

Yes Lora. However I switched Menace not because of bounces but because when her dose got to 6u with Lantus, she started first flinching and then literally backing away while I injected. Lantus is acidic while Levemir is neutral. My heart was breaking giving her shots. Then I stupidly went with my vet's recommendation of lowering the dose and lost momentum. In hind sight, I should have listened to the "wise ones" here who had walked the path before me. It is a bit different animal to Lantus with a later nadir. To a degree, I found it acted a bit like a hybrid of an In/Out and a depot insulin so dose changes were not as unpredictable. If I ever have another diabetic cat, I will use Levemir without blinking an eye.

Yep, Djamilia from Prozinc also recommended Levemir for Bouncy Bear. :)
Lantus was more convenient to try because my Aunt gave me a Pen and I had no financial investment.
That free sample so to speak improved Bear's cycles.

Sorry Lora to interfere! I like to read your postings Linda, they are always helpful and just to the point; but when I saw this one, I had to say it ... "what a beautiful Black Cats thread"! :)
For Lantus in my case, even only at 2 units Ti-Mousse was blinking; some are more sensitive I guess. When I switched him to Lev, he was OK.

No worries Lyane!
You are not interfering, please stop by anytime. ;)
I think almost all cats are beautiful.
The first large cat that I ever got to see really up close was a Black Panther.
I was in awe, he was so majestic, powerful and gorgeous.
So I will admit I am drawn to black cats.

I am glad Levemir worked well for Ti-Mousse.
