To all of you who welcomed me & Houston to the group last year & followed his story from being diagnosed as diabetic to his hypo episode, then to being in remission for 6 mos until an infection in Dec put him back on insulin for only 30 days (thankfully) then being back in remission again, I just wanted to let you all know he was diagnosed with lymphoma of the liver yesterday & went into liver failure. My sweet boy crossed the Rainbow Bridge earlier today to join his other family. The hardest part is that he is the 3rd fur baby I have lost to some form of cancer in 16 months. RIP my sweet boy.

Oh dear, I can't tell you how sorry I am to read this. My heart goes out to you and I wish words could convey more. A virtual hug for you :bighug: and I wish your grieving heart peace and comfort in the coming days. Fly free and high dear Houston, land softly and know that you were loved so very much. cat_wings>o

So sorry for your losses. You did the best you could to give him a comfortable, loved, healthy life. I'm sure he felt your love. I'm sorry his life was too short.

Oh Marianne, I am so very sorry to see this update about Houston, and to hear of your succession of losses... We lost three in about that same period of time, all to kidney disease. I do wish that there was something profound that I could say to make it better, oh how I wish there was...

Thank you for letting us know. You did great with Houston's care, what a lucky boy to have had you for a mama!

Hugs to you,
Sandi&Whisper.

Sorry to hear, I haven't followed your story and it still brought tears to my eyes. My condolences to you and your furry baby.

Thank you for your reply. We all know there is nothing that makes it easier but it hasn't been 4 mos since I lost my girl Olivher to tongue cancer. Pretty sad when you can walk yourself to the euthanasia room. I think what made losing Houston so hard is that I had to focus on him daily, making sure he didn't eat the dry food, checking his # daily & I had just started him on Chinese herbal meds. I know he is better off now because I didn't want him to suffer but it never gets easy. No more waking up with a kitty on my back sticking his nose in my face.

I am so sorry for your loss. I've had an extremely rough past year of diagnoses and losses, too. It just plain sucks.

You loved him and that is so much more than many cats ever get. I'm glad he had you.

Marianne, thought of you today when seeing Louisburg (i assume you are still there) on the map while glued to WRAL watching the severe weather go through -- turned out to be nothing here, and I hope the same is true for you.

Just wanted you to know that you are on my mind and still in our hearts during your time of loss. Hugs to you and your babies!. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks Sandi. Tv, phone & internet went out around 6p until a few minutes go. Nothing but a fast moving thunder storm & downpours. Thanks for your concern, it is appreciated. I am in Louisburg for 3 more wks. Buyers want to close 5/13. I may have lost 4 of my fur babies in 3 yrs I will be going home with 2 not so small kittens I have been feeding since Nov. They are scheduled for spay/neuter 5/10, right before I move. In case you or someone you know is/are interested I have 8 boxes 50 ct each of Confirm Micro Plus test strips I will be posting for sale. Need to recoup some of the $3500+ I spent on my Houston. Thanks again
