Ahhh, I have an uneducated response so I will help you by tagging @tiffmaxee, @Marje and Gracie ... they are both on west coast USA. Just wondering... is your little (Russian Blue?!?) name Geppetto? Is he 14 yo?

The DM wet, if not savoury selects, is low carb food. A lot of cats just get tired of it.

As for dose, have you gotten any tests between March 21st and today? I don’t see any on the spreadsheet. We do recommend getting a test before every shot, to make sure it’s safe to give insulin. So that would be at least two tests a day. How long have you been giving the 1.5 unit dose? Without more data I cannot say more about the dose, other than do not increase the dose. Whether you should stay at this dose or reduce I do not have enough information.

Thanks so much! She was on 1.0U for 7 days, then 1.5U for 7 days. With the advice of our vet, we’re dropping to 0.5U today for a minimum 3 days, with +3 BG every night after PM shot to see how low she’s dropping. After looking at those numbers we’ll either stay there or increase to 1U. I welcome any additional thoughts. This is hard and stressful work!
